I have had interstitial cystitis for 22 years. The pain is similar to a UTI. I have had 3 urinary infections during my life span. All of a sudden, I am allergic to antibiotics that I've never been allergic to in the past. Recently, I've had 2 UTI infections and am now allergic to Cipro, Levaquin, Z-pacts, and Macradation. Mom (88+ Years) has been plagued by UTIs (various bacterial forms) for over 6 years. We could not stop them with other antibiotics (stopped for a few weeks and then had another one!)
