I really like this medication. I am on my second month and have had no problems, especially because I never forget to take it. It has cleared up my skin significantly and I have definitely not had a decrease in sexual desire. If anything, it's a comfort not having that worry in the back of my mind that I might get pregnant unplanned. I am very satisfied with this birth control. I also highly...

I have been taking mononessa for 4 years and decided to stop. I am very concerned tbh. I have some of the worst luck ever and with my family jinxing me every 5 mins, I prolly should've gotten pregnant by now. I know some BC can make you infertal after a long time, I'm worried that's what happened to me....

I do not recommend this pill at all. I had been taking YAZ for 3 years and switched to this pill two months ago due to too much spotting in between periods. Though this pill has stopped the spotting, I have become EXTREMELY depressed. One minute I'm crying my eyes out and yelling at everyone in sight and the next I'm apologizing and I feel great about myself. I was never like this before taking mononessa and have no family history of any sort of emotional disorder. This pill has also made my breasts feel so tender that some days I have to wear an over-sized sweatshirt because I can't even put my bra on. I know every person reacts to medication differently....but lets just say I'd rather still be buying new underwear every month than experiencing these kind of side effects Read More Read Less

I started out of the trinessa, and in the first few months I had really bad acne but after about two or three it completely cleared up and I was acne free for almost a year. But my body wasnt cycling to it properly at all, every month I started my period exactly a week early no matter what I did to recycle myself to it. So I switched to mononess and had the same results. But it did keep my face clear and gave me no mood swings or migraines like other pills. My body was just not cycling to it.

New to this medication. This is only my first week taking it. I have been experiencing different things physically. Not sure if these are due to the MonoNessa or not but the experience has just begun.

I've been taking this birth control for 2 years. It hasn't caused me to gain weight but it has made it more difficult to lose it. My acne has cleared up my periods are regular. The only time I'm moody is right before my period. I'd try switching but I'm afraid it'd be worse with another pill

I recently started BC and at first I was a bit worried. I had severe headaches, nausea, fatigue and my legs would sometime have a like a numb feeling.( this only occurred during the first month after that it went away) I have noticed the weight gain which in my cause is a good thing cause I've always been skinny now I have a little meat on my bones. lol. Mild moodiness but other than that its been ok.

After my first child I was on the depo shot and hated it, so I knew after my second I had to try something else. I love this birth control. I do feel more sensitive (nothing over dramatic) , it does make me a bit more hungry (but the pill don't force feed you so don't blame it for your weight gain), my breast are tender at times but it's cheap, made my periods light and helped regulate them...they've never been regular before this bc! What's not to love?!

I have been on this medication for almost 4 years now and I'm so happy with it. It is effective and got rid of all my bad period symptoms. I had very irregular periods and horrible cramps, but not anymore. I also had no bad side effects like weight gain or irritability when starting this medication. Would recommend!

I have been on mononessa for the last 3 years. In the beginning I had two extremely heavy periods that I felt like I was having a miscarriage. It eventually evened out. Recently, I have noticed bloating that makes me look 4 months pregnant. I have gained around 15 lbs. That for the life of me I can not loose and it is annoying the heck out of me. After reading other feedback. I now realize my moodiness and always crying when I get upset is highly possible a side effect of this birth control . I am about to ask my doctor to switch because I can not loose weight to save my life right now. Read More Read Less

I have been taking this birth control for 2 years. When I first started taking it, I was an emotional wreck then it evened out, so I thought. Every month seems to be getting worse. I now can almost cry on command for no reason! I feel depressed, and I don't enjoy doing the things I used to. My sex drive is gone and it's affecting my relationship. I have also gained about 10 lbs..

The medication was effective with regards to not getting pregnant. However I sure as hell experienced pregnancy symptoms including extreme fatique, uncontrolled appetite increase, as well as mood swings. I called my doc had her switch me back to what I was using before. Threw the remaining pills in water and tossed them over my shoulder like salt. I will start my old pills tonight!! I can't wait.

I took SPRINTEC for years before switching health insurance plans, and was subsequently sent MONONESSA in it's place. I take my BCPs straight through, skipping the sugar pills, so I don't get a period at all, which has been wonderful. (Unless I forget and take it later in the day one day, then my period shows up by the next day.) The first day I took Mononessa, I felt exactly the same way I did when I was first pregnant with my daughter--slight cramping, bloating, breast tenderness, mild nausea. (At the time I didn't put it together--first day of taking Mononessa and feeling pregnant.) I took a pregnancy test and it was negative. A couple days later the pregnant feeling subsided, and I realized it was due to switching BCP brands/manufacturers. I'm now into my second month of Mononessa and my breasts are extremely sore and tender, and I'm slightly nauseous again. I just had a period 2 weeks ago, so I doubt I'm pregnant. (tho I know I could still be pregnant, so I will take a test anyways). I've only put on weight once in my life--when I was pregnant, and only gained 20 pounds. Now I've gained 5-7 pounds in a couple weeks. I'm almost positive all of this is from taking Mononessa, so I plan on getting back on Sprintec ASAP. I hope this helps other girls who feel the same way when switching generic manufacturers.Read More Read Less

The pill, along with other acne regimens, has cleared up my skin wuite nicely. The only side effects I have is that my breats are fuller and my periods are less painful. I wish my periods would be shorter and that I didn't have to take it everyday, but otherwise it's good stuff.

I've been taking Mononessa for about 4.5 months, I switched because my BeYaz was getting expensive and the doctor said there were risks with blood clots. Since I have been taken Mononessa I have gained 5-10 lbs, I wake up with a sore stomach and bloating daily, I have sever moodiness and am easily angered, my hairline is receding, and now I have acne on my chin. I felt good at first, other than the stomach aches and bloating that has been constant. The moodiness and acne is new. I have to switch - ASAP!Read More Read Less

my pharmacy had switched me from sprintec to mononessa and it was the worst month ever on a bc! I had nausea constantly, sore breasts, spotting for days, then I got a heavy period (I haven't had a heavy period in years) and then I got a monster migraine for 5 days that kept switching sides!! horrible I would never recommend it or take it again!!

First week of starting, I had nausea shortly after taking it. Thankfully that disappeared quickly. The only adverse effects I have noticed are more tender breasts. They are a bit fuller as well. I have not gained any weight or experienced mood swings. My period lasts about 5 days, with fewer cramps.
