I hurt my back lifting a person and have been in constant misery for a whole year now and even had to crawl around on my hands and knees from time to time. I have a moderately protruding disk and severe back pain that goes down into both legs and its excrutiating, i think its called spinal stenosis. ive tried all kinds of meds and this is the 1st one to touch the constant pain at all!! i feel soo much better and im just on my 2nd day!!! no side effects at all so far, just RELIEF!!! Am 69 and had bad URI ending in middle ear infection. ENT doc prescribed the steroid 4mg six day treatment. Seemed to have helped somewhat but now developing Oral Thrush. Doc prescribed antifungal but afraid to take it because drug info says could interfere with elimination of my alfa blocker I take for my prostate problem. Will try home remedy first for the oral infection. If doesn't work will call my urologist.

While Medrol works very well in controlling my RA, it's the multi-page list of side-effects that make this drug so hard to deal with! I've experienced some of the WORST of these side effects, including Avascular Necrosis, which led to the loss of both of my hips before the age of 40!

I was given this medrol dose pack for a severe allergic reaction that caused me to be extremely itchy. The very early morning after the first 6 doses (taken after I picked up meds at 4pm, last dose of the day at 11pm), I experienced severe leg cramping, excessive sweating and severe nausea which led to fainting (and falling, fracturing my sacrum). The itch subsided considerably after the first day so I didn't want to stop taking it as I was feeling relief so my doctor changed the dosage over the next several days. The itching from the original issue has subsided BUT, I have developed rashes elsewhere as a result of the medrol. I'm hoping that it will be out of my system asap because I'm still itching! Took it for sharp pains shooting down my legs from my pelvis dysfuntion or my buldging disk. I could'nt work. Day after stating med. Sharp pains stoped and able to work. No side effects either. Which at first I was affraid of. I'm glad I took the med.

it eases the pain though not that fast.

I had a pinched nerve that caused extreme pain in mt right arm. Only by bending my chin to my chest could I get relief. I am on a 6 ay reducing dosage of 4 mg of Methylpredisolone and today second day) I can move without pain. So far no ill effects. Pluses include no more knee joint pain and feeling like a new man. I am 76 years young again = hope it lasts.

4 nights of total sleeplessness, even 2 nights after I stopped taking the drug. Never again.

I am taking it but i am so mentally losing it. i hate this stuff. im taking 7 mg xanax and 1 mg ativan try counter act the extreme panic attacks and mood swings and heart racing. thing going stop my thyroid for rest of week see helps. i hate this stuff but pain is excruciating and its helping allot. get inflamation down. i have have surgery in january remove tumor from lumbar-sacral plexis engulped in the femoral nerve alomng the psoas muscle. i dont tolerate drugs well period. this stuff i so hate but 4 more days of it and hopefully will stick with keeping down inflamation for while. cant take the panic and crying. my husband did die 4 months ago. steroids just seem to agrivate the moods you already having. excuse typos shaking to death here.Read More Read Less

i have been on this medication for 3 days for lower back pain, i do not see any inprovement called the DR. office he was not in would not be back in office till monday or tuesday what am i supposed to do all weekend? go back to work on monday.

I was prescribed the dose pack to help with inflammation after my endodontist overfilled my root canal. The overfill is sitting on the nerve and causing numbness in my chin, teeth, and lip. I have noticed some improvement in the numbness, but I do not ever want to take this medication again due to the side effects. On day 3, I suffered a panic attack while driving at night with my two small children, brought on because I started feeling dizzy and was experiencing trouble with my vision. Just got this as a shot! Wonderful! 10 stars! Start the oral pack in the AM. No pain after 1 week!

This medication causes the heartbeat to increase too much and interferes with other existing conditions easily. This is one of those medications with multiple uses that an advertisement on television should take more time telling about the side effects it causes than what the medication can actually do.

No effect on the pain or inflamation. First steroid thta had no impact, no hyperness as well.

i was experience great pain in my left hip that had a complete replacement 10 months ago. After 2 days the pain was nearly all gone. I am in the third day of treatment and have no pain and no side effects

This medication has been a life-saver. I was broken out in giant hives all over my body. My usual allergy medicine was not helping at all. Within 2 hrs of taking the first dose, all of my hives were gone. I am on day 3, and still no hives. I have had no side effects from taking it. What a blessing it has been.
