Lexapro worked for me when Celexa pooped out. Unfortunately it, too, pooped out after about 1.5 years and withdrawal is AWFUL. My suggestion if you are weaning off it is to wean off it and add some Celexa, which is very similar and much easier to get off of. Completely changed my life. After five years of trying to get over a traumatic event I was desperate for relief and against taking anything. My doctor talked me into it and I am just happy again I am able to put things into perspective and I am calm. I have been taking it for 6 months and hope to keep taking it.

Been on generic about 5 months and works fine no side effects I had the baby blues(PPD)so doc put me on it. Im very glad some thing finally works for me.

I used this drug for 9 years on and off and it worked great. Just tried taking it again, both the generic and the name brand, with horrible effects. It caused worse depression and anxiety. Wish it could have been the drug that worked again, but it made things worse.

Seems to be working alright,still early though. Has anyone with type one diabetes noticed sudden blood sugar drops or other side effects not listed with this?
