I have endometriosis and the only relief I have found is the Lupron Depot shot. This pill was also prescribed as add back therapy for it. The Lupron Depot sent me into a menopausal state (hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings). I found that combined with the norethindrone acetate (Aygestin), those symptoms went away. I could clearly tell when I missed a pill. I've been dealing with endometriosis ...

I have used this medication since 1/6/16. I have had hot flashes, night sweets, a rash on back, mood swings, weight gain (15lbs). To me that is a lot of weight in a short period of time to gain that much weight. My pain has not changed at all. I spend most of my time in bed. The Lupron Depot shot is why I am taking this medication. I don't recommend taking Norethindrone or the Lupron Depot shot. T...

This medication works just like my gyn said it would. I take it for the first 10 days of each month, and then my period starts about 3 days after I stop the pills. Side effects are tiredness, hunger, and a small amount of swelling in my feet. Not the best feeling, but the pills are cheap and they do the job.

It has reduced the bleeding. I am going thru per-i-menopause and I was having some heavy bleeding. It took me awhile to figure out why. I was still having regular periods but would have them like every 2 months instead of once per month and I would bleed for 1 1/2 to 2 weeks. And alot. Really scared me. This has helped with the bleeding, but I have gained some weight. Get headachs, have dizziness. Stomach upset. is it worth it? Not really. There must be another way. Natural progesterone perhaps? I started taking norethindrone because i experienced symptoms of hemmorraghing. I have enlarged fibroids/enlarged uterus. I have been bleeding/clots now for over a week. I thought this was supposed to stop the bleeding all together until my surgery, but it has not. I have been taking this prescription just over 1 month. Going to ER to check my vitals and have upcoming dr appts in less than two weeks. Overall don't think this it is completely working for me.

I eleven firbroids removed eleve years ago. I was told two years ago two new ones have apppeared. I was taking Nora b tab mini pill and bleeding was heavy. During last doctor visit I was prescribed this pill due to heavy bleeding and the fact that I'm 52-no ther signs of peri or menapause. I have taken this medication for 19 days since the started of my cycle I have bled with clots for 19 days. I emailed my doctor today, and I am coming off of this pill. I have cramped seven days after a normal cycle after being on these pills. I am going to the health food store and seek herbs. Read More Read Less

I was on this medication for amenorrhea. I took it for 10 days and after not taking it for three days, I got my period. The only side effects were cramps. The medication worked like it should.

Took about 4 months to work with my body but cramping is gone completely. Some weight gain, some dizziness and occasional nausea. Slight swelling in fingers every so often. None of these symptoms are enough to make me want to quit taking the med.

I am 31 years old, and sadly had to have a hysterectomy at the age of 30 due to accute endometriosis, I just couldn't deal with the pain anymore. After the surgery, which was a Laparospic Assisted Vaganal Hysterectomy, my doctor, Dr. Richard C. Griffin, put me on Norethindrone and I am feeling much much better. :) ~ La

I could clearly tell when I missed a pill. I've been dealing with endometriosis for over 8 years, and the 6 months I used it was the only time I felt "normal". After a year off the drug, all of my endometriosis symptoms are at their worst. My GYN has prescribed this drug again and I am very thankful for that. Combined with the Lupron Depot shot, I think Aygestin is GREAT. Read More Read Less

do not take this drug. My wife took it to stop uterus bleeding before her hysterectomy surgery and it caused her to lose sight in her eye. This is the most serious side effect that is not on the label or bottle. She is undergoing surgery and all doctors agree that this drug caused the blood clot to stop the eye from working. Please be careful.

I have fibroids,an enlarged uterus and possibly endometriosis.I'm facing a posssible hysterectomy. Been on this med for 21 days, bleeding has gotten lighter, missed a pill for 1 day and had severe bleeding, cramping and passing of large clots again as before the norethindrone. again. No side effects noted. I will see my gyn today to discuss further options.
