Surgery removed tumor in bladder. 3 weeks later started chemo 1 time a week for 6 weeks using injections through a catheter. Inserting of catheter into bladder was worst part. Fatigue has been my biggest issue so far as I have just completed my third treatment.

Following bladder surgery in August 2014, I was given weekly infusions of Mitomycin for 6 weeks. The first few infusions produced little side effects, but I had increasing negative side effects with each infusion. Following the sixth infusion, I had a low grade fever, then beginning on the third day after the infusions I had frequent and very painful urination occurring every half hour day and night for 4 more days. Following my next bladder inspection, had to take two more infusions and after the second one I had a low grade fever, then beginning on the third day after the infusions I had frequent and very painful urination occurring every half hour day and night for 8 more days. Needless to say I did not get much sleep during this period. Now a year later, my latest bladder inspection indicates that I still have the bladder cancer.Read More Read Less
