This has already helped me feel calmer and more focused on jobs I have been doing. Also, I am not as weepy as I have been experiencing even after one dose which I started today!!!

My experience after my first dose: The only way I can describe the side effects of this drug is like getting food poisoning, the flu and a migraine combined with taking a sleeping pill.. thats what it feels like within an hour of taking one 75mg capsule. I was dry heaving, had diarrhea and cramps for 2 days, headaches and major drowsiness. I felt like I was hung over from a week in Vegas. ... Show Full Comment

It's definitely made my "lows" a lot higher and I feel less on edge. I've missed some doses here and there and have had mild withdrawal symptoms, but nothing extreme. I have been taking Effexor 150mg for over a year. It really did seem to help at first. I was a lot calmer and less iritated. i've also tried Prozac, Zoloft, Lexapro, and Abilify(it worked but gained 40lbs-do not suggest). The problem with this drug is it seems to put you into your own world and for me it made me less interested in going out into the world and having experiences with others. ... Show Full Comment

Comment:
I got brainwashed into a 1 year effexor treatment and it worked like a charm. 7 years of depression and anxiety simply vanished on the first pill. So did my interest in sex, erections, empathy and emotional depth, which were supposed to re-emerge after treatment so I didn't complain about it at the time. I also had an uncharacteristically positive disposition on the matter (high on serotonin) ... Show Full Comment
