I have been diagnosed for depression. I take 150mg Effexor with breakfast and I also take 20mg Adderall tablets 2X/day, once with breakfast and one with lunch. The Effexor by itself does an excellent job for me with depression, anxiety and nervousness. I do, however get extremely sleepy when using it alone. Comment:
My depression is hard to treat. I was already taking two other anti-depressants when my doctor added Effexor XR the drug therapy. It nearly eliminated the anxiety and sadness that I have.

Now that I am on it I can not go off of it! I feel I am addicted to it.

I have been taking Effexor in combination with Wellbutrin for 12 years. I wish I had taken it years earlier, because I have been dysthymic for most of my life (60).
