I have suffered from chronic yeast infections, likely from OCP use and a course of vancomycin I took 3 years ago. Because Monistat burned in the past, I typically turned to tioconazole 1 day. I've come to realize however, that these 1 day treatments never truly eradicate yeast fully, contributing to recurrent infections that are more resilient. I've tried literally every home remedy, to no avail (...

If you like torture, this is it. It is way worse than the discomfort from any YI. The feeling is the absolute worse. My husband tells me I have the highest pain tolerance of anyone he knows, And still this turned me into a puddle of tears. Whoever made this hates women. It should be illegal.

I bought the 7 day version. I can’t tell what’s worst, the monistate or my yeast infection. The medication caused severe burning, itching and irritation. I was already irritated from the yeast and adding monistate on top of it made the skin swell so much that my skin felt raw. I couldn’t walk without being in pain. As we speak I have an ice pack wedged between my legs for relief. Like many of the other reviewers, I have used this previously before with no issue. I wonder if there was a formula change or a bad batch. Unless you love to torture yourself, i suggest you find another medication.Read More Read Less

Honestly I don't know why there are so many bad reviews. The 3 day didn't work, but after talking it out with a doctor, I waited a bit and used the 7 day instead. Way better with no burning or itching (beyond the areas I scratched before using it).

I used to use Monistat with no problems. Worked great. Last 2 times, it burned so bad, I had to try to wash it out. Omg so BAD.

So this isn’t my first time dealing with a yeast infection. I can usually tell when the first symptoms show up and thankfully had saved the external cream from the last time that I got a yeast infection. I’d been dealing with the itch and discomfort by just applying the external cream on the outside areas. For the first 2 days, it seemed to be working and I was hoping that I could avoid having to purchase this product again. I noticed that the itchiness came back today, to the point where I panicked because I know how bad yeast infections can be. Well today I purchased the 3 day Monistat and let me just tell you, I’ve been laying awake on my bed freaking out and do my best to not cry. It’s awful. Right after I inserted the applicator the burning and itching got 10 times worse. I actually prefer the burning as it helps to over power the itchiness. I am freaking out, i put an ice pack down there that seemed to help to numb the area but man this is mental torture. My advice to you something that has REALLYYYYY helped to soothe the burning and itchiness is to 1. Pee first if you have to 2. Wash the area with soap and cool water 3. Put the internal cream in there and lay down 4. DO NOT TOUCH, MOVE NOTHING JUST STICK IT OUT FOR 30 minutes 5. THIS IS A GAME CHANGER; if after 30 mins you are still dying go wash just your outer parts with some soap and cool water. Don’t try to remove the medicine. And lightly dry and put the external cream on again. After 10 mins, I finally feel able to type and can actually laugh at the comments because a few hours ago, I was pacing around freaking out and could not handle it. JUST LEAVE IT. I empathize with all of you, this is the worst kind of pain, but trust me. Also, if you think you might have a yeast infection or early stages of one, the sooner you treat the easier the symptoms. Made the itching and irritation WORSE. I understand my v has sensitive membranes, but medicine like monistat should not make waiting the infection out seem like paradise compared to what I felt less than a half hour later. The itching gets worse, and it begins to sting almost. Never again. Sucks there is no alternative to difulican and monistat when you are pregnant. Or in general. Do better

The worst mistake I could’ve made. I’ve had a yi for about a week and after nothing working that my doctor was prescribing, my mother and I made the terrible mistake or using monsitat 7. After using his product I was immediately burning, itching, and irritated. After a few moments, It felt like the hottest fires in hell were burning inside of me. The pain was comparable to having pancreatitis where I spent 4 days in the hospital. After 2 hours of being completely immobile and sitting in my bathtub screaming and crying, I was able to get myself to an emergency room. Before we left I had used one of the inserters in this kit and fillies it w water and repeatedly tried to flush out all the medicine so by the time that I was triaged, I just wanted to go home. The pain was excruciating if and unbearable. This product should not be on the market. One of the worst pains in my entire life and today is the next day, my whole entire body is in huge amount of pain from how excruciating this product was. DO NOT USE THIS. if you have already used this and are searching for helpful tips, use an applicator and flush it out with a water, use a cold compress, sit, stand straight so it will leak out, and sit in a freezing cold bath. All of these things helped me but I was still in excruciating pain. Read More Read Less

I used this and ended up in the emergency room shortly after due to how horrible the burning was. It took my two hours to make it to the emergency room only because how horrible the burning was, I was unable to get up and go anywhere because I was uncontrollably crying and screaming. It was extremely scary. If you have already used this product and are trying to figure out what to do, apply a cold compress and you can use one of the inserters this kit supplied to clear yourself with water.

What in the world is in this stuff??? I’m burning, itching and I wasn’t even feeling this badly with just the YI. I’m cracking up laughing at these reviews but I’m also up at 4 am because it woke me up from my sleep. Literally felt the burn and itch in my dreams. I have a bidet so I’m using that to soothe but it’s harder to. The itching is just unbearable. This didn’t happen to me when I took it before- the 1 day treatment so idk what changed. Clearly not the hellfire burn I’m feeling lol I hate this, never again Read More Read Less

I recently had the most horrible experience with the 7 days product. My v started burning so bad that it felt someone poured acid inside me. I don’t know how this is permitted in the market. Although the burning stop after 2 hours, my labia and surrounding area is so tender that I cannot even pee. Din 02084309 lot r96190

I had used monistat 7 in the past when pregnant and it had helped...I'm 31 weeks pregnant and had a yeast infection show up so I pulled it out again but within 10 seconds of applying it, the itching got 5 times worse and started to burn too. I don't know what changed but this is awful! I regret even applying it now, it is sooo uncomfortable there's no way I'm trying to do the full 7 day course!

I am 33w pregnant and recently got my first YI since I was 16. My provider said that this was a safe method. For the first two times immediately after insertion it felt like someone light my crotch on fire. I’m on my third treatment, I made it through the night but unfortunately woke up to burning and itching as it had started leaking. Monistat 7 holds a special place in hell, next time I will be begging my Dr for literally anything besides this.

I have dealt with yeast infections since I was about 16 and I have always used monistat 7 to treat them and have had no issues with it. I’m 25 now and haven’t had a yeastie in a while. Over the weekend I noticed those lovely classic yi symptoms and decided that to pick up a box of monistat 7. Now, I don’t know if they changed ingredients or what because upon initial application I was immediately greeted by Satan himself who breathed hellfire into my vagina. Actually, I don’t even think hellfire would burn this bad. This was excruciating—like I can’t find words to express the brutality of this quote on quote medicine. I have no doubts about its efficacy yet I’m unsure that if I even stuck with the 7 days I wouldn’t be unscathed by chemical burns. If you got a tough puss and a lionhearted spirit, by all means, this is your drug. For me and many a vagina owner out there, I will be contacting my gyno tomorrow to get diflucan because we don’t be needing drugs that feel like the Fire Nation attacked and left no survivors. We go through enough. Read More Read Less

I’m currently 32 weeks pregnant and this is my second time with a yeast infection during my pregnancy and my second time using the monistat 7. the first time i used it, the itching i felt on the first night was so severe. i didn’t get the burning, but the itch was miserable. i immediately got in the shower and tried to get it all out. there was slight itching on the second and third day but after that, it didn’t give me any issues. it’s now my second time around using this and i’m on the second day. when i put it in last night i didn’t experience any itching at all and i thought i was in the clear…nope. as soon as i peed, it began to itch. once again i got in the shower and tried to get it all out. i had work in the morning and it itched all throughout my work day so much worse than any actual itching i had just from the yeast infection. i just put in my second dose and there’s only a very slight itch so hopefully i won’t have anymore problems. i know this product works, i just wish it didn’t itch for the first few nights :(Read More Read Less

I’d rather just stick with the yeast infection. That’s how excruciating the burning has been so far. I don’t care if this ends up working, the pain has been absolutely unbearable. I have a very high pain tolerance but oh my god I feel like someone is shoving a piping hot metal rod up there. Whoever created this medication needs a psychiatric evaluation asap because this feels targeted lmao

The absolute worse itching after inserting! I am 32 weeks pregnant and this is my first YI I washed off medicine after 20 minutes because I could not stand the itchiness at all. Don’t buy this look for an alternative

Girl it burns but it will work. This is the first and last time I'll be using monistat but it did what it was supposed to do, after I gave birth to a lava baby. If you have a low pain tolerance I wouldn't suggest it. Use the combi pink pack instead.

Hello fellow women in distress. I took this medication around 50 hours ago. Upon the first couple hours I found myself on these reviews like most of you. All of your reviews helped me through the first two hours of uncontrollable itchiness and unbearable burning of my vag. However 50 hours later and my labia minora is weirdly dry like that skin is dead... still have slight pain by the opening (I also had sex with my BF 30 hours after the medication was applied bc I was impatient and felt fine), fingers and toes crossed all my symptoms go away soon. If you can make it through the pain your YI will most likely be gone in a couple days. However this product will most likely make you want a penis forever... I pray for anyone that takes this. (Im not really religious) Read More Read Less

I'd laugh at these comments but my vagina is burning so bad it's not even funny right now. I used the one day insert about 2 hours ago and I am burning so bad I can't stand it. I will follow soon to post if it even works. But seriously this hadn't happened before they must have changed the ingredients. Please help! Calling Dr. In the morning my God I feel like I could shove an ice cube up there ??
