I have suffered from chronic yeast infections, likely from OCP use and a course of vancomycin I took 3 years ago. Because Monistat burned in the past, I typically turned to tioconazole 1 day. I've come to realize however, that these 1 day treatments never truly eradicate yeast fully, contributing to recurrent infections that are more resilient. I've tried literally every home remedy, to no avail (...

Monistat 7 is a miracle worker! Yes it is quite messy but yesterday was my last night using it and my yeast infection is gone! I definitely recommend this to people who have a yeast infection. As far as the burning and itching... I don't know what some of these people are talking about. The first two or three days there was some itching every once in a while but nothing major.

This was the first time I had a yeast infection so I was wary about getting care. I figured that it would go away. For over a month, I told myself that it would go away and put up with the miserable itching and soreness. I had scratched it so much that it bled and I was miserable. Finally I caved. I bought Monistat 7 and used it that night. IMMEDIATELY the itching and pain were gone. I felt a slight tingle sometimes when inserting it, but it wasn't unpleasant in the slightest. Within a day, it was all gone even though I used it the full week. One treatment at night would last the entire day! My only critique is that they don't really give you extra cream to handle itching on the outside like they said they do, BUT I NEVER needed any extra. I would strongly recommend this! It's cheap and works VERY well.Read More Read Less

Experienced an almost unbearable burning within 30 seconds of inserting this product, which lasted for almost an hour. It was like using a hot poker to apply acid. Two weeks later and I still have irritation and burning - am scheduled for a dr. app.t this afternoon. Can't believe they would make a product that could have this effect on even one person, and yet there are numerous comments on this site about how awful this product is. In the future, will take oral meds if needed.

This does kill the infection. I'm glad I started off with the 7 day Monistat. I was researching the 1 day and 3 day that is more concentrated and I heard that the burning is worse. Upon application there is an instant burning on the inside. If I move around it's a little worse. It is very uncomfortable. I might switch back to clotrimazole, it didn't burn for me. Why would they make a product that burns so much?

One minute after the first application, I experienced a severe burning sensation of my vagina and vulva. I thought it was because I was sore already because of the infection. The second application had the same result severe enough to bring tears to my eyes. I couldn't get to sleep until 2:00 in the morning because of the discomfort and awoke at 6:00 a.m. to its presence. I, also, had to wash off the exterior area to help stop the burning.

First time using over the counter brand - day one, very mild stinging thought it was the medication working and feel much more comfortable compared to how i was with the infection - seems to be working just as the prescribed medication has for me in the past. Only negative is how messy it gets when it comes out during the day because your standing.

First day of treatment did experience painful burning after application of medicine that put tears to my eyes. Second day had some mild burning after application. By third day no burning and yeast infection symptoms all cleared up. Not sure if the inital burning could be from killing the infection..........

Will not EVER use again! One application and less than a minute later had a horrible burning and itching that has not stopped yet after 15 minutes! Worse than the actual infection!

I am currently on day 3 of Monistat 7. I experience a mild increase in burning/itching after inserting the cream, but nothing extreme. It seems to be working... my only complaint is how messy it is once it starts leaking back out!

The product appeared to work initially, but 2 days after ending the required time (7days) the yeast infection returned. I'm very disappointed.
