I had vertigo and some associated motion sickness. Med knocked it out within two hours after suffering with the vertigo for 2 weeks. I do have some sleepy moments (I take a short 30 b minute nap during my lunch hour.) But feel quite good after with no drowsiness after and ready for another four to six hours. I am sleeping a lot but I'm also no longer feeling like I am on the verge of fainting ...

I am a little confused about using Meclizine as I don't get dizzy while standing or moving around, just when I'm sitting or lying down. It says for motion sickness, nausea, etc. which I don't have a problem with. Meclizine seems to work fairly well, but I'm still confused.

I take every 8 hours for vertigo associated with Menieres disease (inner ear disease) and it works really well. The only side effect is nausea sometimes for which I take Zofran. Feel so much better afre starting this med.

I've taken it a few times for nausea. Once it was for nausea caused by an antibiotic. It works. If the nausea is strong I just go ahead and take the 50mg at once instead of 25mg first then wait and see if I need another 25mg. If I lie down then it makes me a little bit sleepy. But once I get up to go about my day, I don't feel any sleepiness or tiredness.

This has helped to keep my attacks of vertigo away, but I'm usually exhausted. Even if I'm home all day doing nothing but house work, after a few hours I'm knocked out. I do take it 3x a day.

effective for motion sickness. Very groggy 6 hours after taking. Had to empty my bladder a lot and the next day got very nauseated while running. Takes two days to wear off. Will not take it again.

I started getting vertigo in 2009. I found out after several spells of vertigo, which was always preceded with light headedness, I found when I start to feel lightheaded I take one meclizine and in one hour I am free of the above and no other symptom arose. I do not get light headedness often but I do keep my meclizine handy.

It's hard to tell if this is even helping. My dr. prescribed it for dizziness (inner ear disturbance). All I can say is it makes me extremely tired! I could sleep all day that is how tired I am. I have only been on it for 2 days. I don't think i can even handle driving thats how bad it is. The dizziness still feels like it's there.
