Have used this medication for approximately 10 years for lichen sclerosus of the vaginal area. Used to be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off. Now 3 or 4 applications a week, using Mon, Wed, & Fri,using cotton underwear, being very careful to avoid tight clothing in that area and wearing nightgowns to provide air to the area.

I have used this for 4 months for hair loss and I believe my problem is getting worse after using it.

I too have tried a variety of topical medications including cultivate lotion and clobetasol lotion and nothing has worked. I even had blood work done to see if I was anemic, test was fine. Help!

I have been using a compound mixture of 50mg of clobetasol powder with 120 ml of dermazinc spray. This compound has worked very well for me.

My doctor recently noticed a trifecta of sorts. I was born very premature, and even then I had severe allergies. I am quite prone to respiratory infection and have had a Psoriasis & Enzema problem all of my life. After putting me on Clobetasol ointment for my scalp I saw immediate improvment. I have never been able to use "normal" shampoo, on my recent vacation I used the travel sized shampoos that were in my hotel room. That may be small beans for some, but not having to use dandruff shampoo or pack it is a huge deal to me! I have no flaking, when I was a teenager my scalp constantly looked like it had been through a blizzard. My skin on and near the scalp is not scaly, red or irritated. I feel that I need to emphaize, on my first bath my scalp was the first thing the nurse noted. After a month of intense treatment I should be able to scale it back, the effects of this drug have lifted such a weight off me! Btw, I seem to have no side effects from it. I have been warned to watch how much I use, as many of the side effects can be brought on from overuse. It is important to note what is to much for one, may not be enough for another. Also, as a caregiver who first saw the effects and side effects on one of my patiets, sometimes a drug prescribed may not be the right drug to treat that condition for that person. Clobetasol worked great. I have Lichen Sclerosis and it got rid the itching almost immediately. I had to use it everyday for one month, then once per week after that (to keep the Lichen sclerosis under control). It's great because under my insurance it's only $3 too!

I developed red dots on my arms, then legs, then torso. When scratched, they broke open and didn't heal. I tried hydrogen peroxide, salt baths, and neosporin in case it was staph; it didn't help. I went to my Dermatologist. He took one look and said it's not staph (or cancer); he said it was dermatitis and asked if I had had the flu recently, which I had about two week prior. He prescribed Clobetasol ointment twice a day, and it cleared right up. Some of the red dots have lingered on my calves, but I think I just missed those areas. I apply by lightly wetting the arm and then applying a small dab, which "creams up" upon rubbing. The only side effect is that my skin feels VERY smooth (thinning?).Read More Read Less

I was given this drug for psoriasis at the base of my scalp and neck. The first time I used it, it cleared up psoriasis right away - unfortunately, when I stopped the medication it came back worse than the first time. This time, it is not working as quickly, so I will see how it goes.

Clobetasol Gel was prescribed by my dermatologist following a diagnosis of discoid lupus. It worked within hours to clear up a bad outbreak on my cheek and chin. A tiny amount is all that was needed. The dermatologist also told me to use a 50 SPF moisturizer underneath the Clobetasol to protect against sun exposure, which irritates this condition. Regular use of the moisturizer has mostly prevented recurrence, but I reapply just a dot of the Clobetasol whenever I see evidence of the rash beginning again. Thank goodness this stuff worked!Read More Read Less

I have been using this product for a couple of years now and it is the only thing that clears up my skin breakouts. It works in just a couple of days.
