I had used antibiotics twice in about 45 days bringing on a yeast infection. I did not connect the drugs with the yeast infection. Finally realizing what happened I was suffering badly from the yeast infection and nothing was helping (creams etc.) I called my Dr. and got an rx for Fluconazole. I realized some relief within hours. After reading this site and its side effects I had experienced a lot of them, itching etc. I would take the drug again in spite of the side effects.

I agree with all of the people who experienced an adverse reaction. I first noticed with the generic because I had taken the brand before with no reaction. But within 10 minutes, my chin started itching like crazy. I eventually realized that it was both brand and generic and I still have discoloration on my face from the reaction. I don't recommend taking this med.

I did notice hair loss.

this medication caused me to have a migraine for 2 days after taking it.. It got rid of the infection though

Started itching on my head and along my jaw first, then red blister-type welts came up, all within 5 hours of taking the first pill. It is now 24 hours later and my eye lids are getting blothches, arms, chest, everywhere except my legs thus far. Also skin is hot like a sunburn. I will NOT take another pill - ever. Hopefully, I won't get worse over the weekend. Oh yes, I did notice something unusual - my stomach was cramping yesterday, and my feet arches have been cramping.

Took one a day for seven days (condition was gone in five days).

My husbandhas got sick since he started the medicine twwo days ago. It has help his pain .He just can't keep nothing down.

i'd rather take this than those nasty creams

I too have had a violent skin reaction lasting more than a week. The patches of skin are itchy and eventually appear as though the skin has been burned.

24 hours after taking 150mg broke out in a rash. Now 5 days later my whole upper torso, face and head included, are covered with a hot, itching rash. Seems to still be spreading. Have been taking Benadryl at night but dreadful during the day!Prescribing Dr. has not heard of this reaction before!?

I can hardly believe what I am reading! I have had the same reaction three times and only just connected it to this drug. Less than 10 minutes after taking the pill, I developed a rash on my face that started as only redness and by the end of the day was full-blown welts. My entire face and neck was lumpy and red and hot! I ended up with burned looking patches on my eyelids and around my jawline. It took a full week for the majority of the swelling and rash to diminish and now three weeks since the onset, I still have scar-like spots. In addition, the roof of my mouth was burned to the point that I could not eat much more than soft, cold items. Although it is easy and worked...severe side effects. Lock jaw, fatique, random bleeding from nose and other areas, nausea, cramping I felt much worse for a month after taking. Liver pains. Allergy. I strongly suggest you look for other methods.

I've used this product in the past and have seen fast results, usually w/in 24-36hrs, it's not completely gone, but there is a lot of relief. I had no side effects in the past until I woke up this morning. (took it B4 bed last night) My left eye lid was swollen and itchy. I had a rash on both sides of my neck, under my chin, and a few other patches of rash on my upper body & face. I took Benadryl to help stop the itching on my body due to the rash and a couple hours later my lower lip swell up. My lip is also a bit numb. Easy to use and effective. Maybe some side effects . . . dizziness, restlessness.

A day and a half after I started this medication in conjunction with topical terconazole as prescribed, I had a severe, life-threatening reaction, with adverse effects lasting for months, including SEVERE muscle and joint pain to the point I could not stand. I finally recovered. These drugs did nothing for my yeast infection. I stopped the drugs immediately after the reaction occurred. These drugs can destroy muscle, by the way. Be careful. Anti-fungal drugs are risky. When I couldn't use these -- I had a severe yeast infection for months, my first ever, after massive doses of antibiotics in a hospital for another problem -- my doctor said try a vinegar-and-water douche for 3 days. I mixed my own with apple cider vinegar using the ratio given in The Doctors' Book of Home Remedies. Don't put it very far up. I could use it only 2 days, because it caused some irritation, but this immediately turned the tide, along with plain yogurt and buttermilk, topically and internally, separately, the buttermilk being especially helpful. When I was first given this med., I thought I had just a regular y.infection, which was not the case. My question is: should I take another dose within 7 days of the 1st?

I have been on this medicine for 36 hours and I have noticed a decress in discharge, in the color and odor. I never really had a lot of itching but did notice an increase after a few hours. The only problem I have had so far has been a headache. Hopefully in the next day or so my infection will have completly gone away.

I only had a slight yeast infection, all I needed to get into the Dr's for treatment. Took Fluconazole at 10am. It's now 2pm and no itching or irritation anymre already!! This drug is awesome!!

IT WORK VERY FAST IN ALMOST A DAY AND A HALF I STARTED FEELING BETTER I HAD TAKE MED BEFORE GOING TO DENTIST AMOXICILLIN 500 MG 4 0F THEM GAVE ME A BAD YEAST INFECTION WITH ITCHING LITTLE PAIN NO BURNING OR DISCHARGE ONLY THING I NOTICE LITTLE SMALL TINGLE IN THE VAGINA AREA SORENESS BUT IT COULD BE TO THE SEVERE REACTION TO DRUG MENTION
