Okay, the stuff kept me from eating, but I also came up with an extremely embarrassing side effect that I have been searching for and haven't found...the inability to urinate. I take the drug in the am before my coffee and I feel the urge to go but only a very weak stream will come out or none at all...I also have this side effect with other cold meds...but have never seen this side effect listed anywhere. Am I an alien or does anyone else out there have this problem?

I bought fastin from Walgreens when it was on sale..My weight was 190 when I started 2 weeks ago...now my weight is 176. I eat a honey bun at 8 am and take one pill at 830 am, drink plenty of fluids and eat a small meal with my husband around 6 pm. I love this pill and would recommend to anyone who wants to drop a few pounds quick. no side effects except dry mouth. It gives you so much more energy! I am on my third week now and I have went to taking them only on Mondays, Weds, and Fridays. I can now feel comfortable in a swim suit..My goal is to lose about 15 more lbs...Read More Read Less

This works well for curbing hunger as well as giving energy BUT also please be aware of the side effects. I've experienced diarrhea, heart palpitations, and elevated blood pressure. Definitely a decent product but you do want to consult a doctor if you have an existing condition.

I started the medicine at 148.6 pounds (5'4" 45 year old female) just slightly over recommended BMI. I have been taking it for 7 weeks and lost 13.4 lbs. The first few weeks my appetite was significantly reduced. After that, the fact that I was in the habit of eating less and very healthy foods I was able to keep my diet at reduced calorie level. I think it also increased my metabolism. I will continue taking it for the FDA recommended 12 weeks or less. I also started walking 3 miles a day after the first week on the medicine. The first week I had a little insomnia, jitters but second week was fine. Dry mouth on and off occasionally and slight headaches on and off occasionally. Overall very happy with results. It was just what I needed to get me started.Read More Read Less

So I took this stuff. I'm under 18. Not a good idea. After a few days, my heart beat was abnormally fast. I couldn't control shakes or jitters in my body, and I wasn't able to sit still. Along with that, I began to have scary hallucinations. Don't take this drug :/

Today is December 21 and I have been on this drug since August 4th my today is day 139 and I have gone from 340lbs to 285lbs. You do have to watch what you eat and do some working out but most of the weight I have lost is because of not longing to eat all the time. In fact there are times I have to remind myself to eat. For someone who was addicted to food this has been the best thing I have ever put in my mouth.

I have a caregiver who has been on the Fastin® for nearly 2 months. Her weight loss is very evident but she has taken this medication before only to gain everything back and more when she stopped taking it. I have attempted to explain that Fastin® alone is not a "magic bullet" for weight loss, I was a physician assistant for 17 years and have had much experience with treating obesity, it has been explained to her that behavior modification along with watching what you eat and when you eat it, as well as portion size would do the same thing as the Fastin®. She will not listen and I have since found out that she uses 3 different doctors so she can stay on the Fastin® longer than is recommended. I have to say that in my experience as a Physician Assistant Fastin® is not the "answer" to obesity. It might make you feel like you are making progress because the scale tips to a lighter and lighter weight each week, however ... in the end you WILL gain the weight back with at least 20% more on top of it if you don't change your eating habits.Read More Read Less

Greatly increased energy and decreased cravings. I went from 238 to 202 in 3 months. I wish I could stay on it longer. After being off of it for 3 months I have gained 7 pounds. I will ask for a new prescription when I am aloud to take it again because it works very well. During the first few days I didn't have an appetite and started to get dizzy because I wasn't eating after that all went well.

As long as I remembered to take this medication on an empty stomach I had great results. The down side was after 3 to 4 months the effectiveness lowered. The time released capsules had the greatest effect.

For about 4/5 years, I have had a steady weight gain. I have tried many times to diet and excercise, having once been successful with the Adkins Diet, I failed to maintain my weight loss after going off it. - also harmful with excessive fat/caloric intake! This has been a godsend; I went to my doctor and received a high cholesterol report coupled with attending a few individuals funeral that were my age - 55 years set my alarm off. Pounds at this age, jump on and love your body so much, they don't want to leave! I realized the quality of my life (which ws filled with the 'good life' rich foods and beverage as I'm a Chef ...... was slowly aging me. I had to change if I was going to enjoy my coming retirement and year to come. Feeling depressed, overweight, experiencing problems due to excessive weight on my knee (had a muscle lateral release surgery a few years ago; feeling uncoordinated and aging, my doctor said she would help! I have never taken diet pills, so this has a surprisingly big help to control my appetite. I have been taking a 1/2 dose pill of a 37.5 MG pill only each morning for this. I committed to getting on my Eclipetiglide machine for 1/2 hour of speed walking (arms and legs), drink lots of water and decided to restrict my food to only sereal, soup and salad (what I call the 'S'diet- oh and little sex too help). It's easy to stick to and filling; high in fiber, fresh vegetable/fruits/grains; low in fats, meats.... and had that ever worked. Funny, because my husband started doing the same thing, without the pill and has lost 20 pounds in 6 weeks, as I also! When we eat out, we split a meal- controls portion & Yipee, I have 15 more to go and am feeling so my better. When I reach my goal, I am going to reward myself with a closet redo and clean out my fat, fatter and too skinny clothes and strive to maintain my target weight. Highly recommend this supplement, along with taking control of other aspects of health in your life.Read More Read Less
