I started taking this med when a severe illness ultimately cost me my job, and the feelings of dispair, inability to earn my living and a shakey support system made life pretty bad. My MD suggested Zoloft. The starting dose was way too high so we backed off to 100mg a day. I know many feel that 100 is even a high dose, but it worked For me. I suffer from anxiety and mild depression and was taking Wellbutrin however that seemed to increase my depression and intense weight loss so after 2 months I switched to Zoloft and I felt better within the first week! Very happy and small things didnt bother me like they used to I became very laid back and chill. After about a month I leveled out and doctor increased my dose to 100mg, been on this ... I have taken Zoloft for years with only moderate improvement. Basically made my life "flat", not great, not bad. It was hard for me to ever get excited about anything while at the same time keeping me from bottoming out. My life became a constant state of apathy but all the while I would contemplate suicide. Gave me major chest pains(anxiety attacks) & I had only had 1 doze which was the 50mg & took at night & then I didn't sleep I was up & dwn all night long
