Have taken this medication for over 5 yrs. At first, it was highly effective at treating my lack of focus & detail. But now it doesn't seem to help. In fact, it makes me agitated and I get anxiety. Had I known the benefits would only last a few yrs, I probably wouldn't have started this therapy. Although I'm allowed a larger dose I don't take it because of the anxiety it causes.

Reliable relief for ADD and other things. Miracle drug.

I had surgery on my foot 5 times, still no relief for the pain. I had gone to pain clinics and no help. My doctor put me on this drug, 10mg and the pain disappeared. No side effects, occasionally when I do not eat right I feel wired.But no pain, I can sleep at night and feel great all day.

Newly diagnosed with adult ADD and this is the only drug I’ve taken, but it has really helped with a problem I didn’t know I had. I am more focused, can start and finish tasks at work and most importantly I’m not short tempered and angry all the time. I stay awake with no shakes or bad side effects.

HELP ME THINK

this drug has been a miracle for a full year but for the last month i have had quick episodes of aggressive anger. it has helped at work mainly, i can focus on the task at hand. ive noticed other side effects but my anger and annoyance with little things has become a problem so i have to switch for the good of life in general

It has improved my ability to remain awake, increased alertness, and daily function.

My son has been on this medication for 12 years, we started off with the non-stimulant, did not work. Went to ritalin of 1 month, no good his depression and withdraw was terrible. Put him on this med, work wonders, at first it took some time to help him, but he is 17 now, doing well with school, concentration, mood, and behavior. I think this med is great if not abused.

I was having severe anxiety issues, including panic attacks and incredible stress levels. I began on Sertraline for the anxiety and Buspar for the panic attacks, and they helped a little, but not a lot. On my return visit, I mentioned to my doctor about my difficulty paying attention in class and getting things done, so she decided to put me on Adderall to see if it would help. I feel amazing. My stress has dissolved completely because I am capable of getting everything finished in a timely manner with ease. I feel very positive all the time. Being a gastric bypass recipient, XR meds tend to get washed out of my system by my stomach so the 4 hrs of medication is perfect with this med.. this was a bit hard on my new stomach at first and it does take some discipline as far as eating meals (a must esp. for ppl with R n Ys) but life inside my constantly running brain is TONS better (thought clarity, focus, finishing what i start, attention span) ... that said, i would not recommend this medication without also taking or at least having on hand prescp anxiety meds..sometimes it can be a little too much focus :) (insomnia)Read More Read Less

If you really have ADHD or ADD this medication will help you... if you don't it will only make you wired... if you feel wired and your not on it to stay awake (trucker, etc) don't waste your time, the side effects arent worth it... but yes it works for me...

i have taken this in the past and it made me very iritable to the point were i get introuble at work i tried taking it again and for some reason it has the opposite effect the only thing good about it is that it wakes me up wich makes sence cause its a stimulate other than that i have even worse ADD symptoms i canot finish any thing and my attention to detal wich was very good in the past is now gone i hold a very skilled position at work and am paid very good for it some of the ADD carictoristics help me now i feel as if this drug just makes me not give a crap about any thing the only problem is when i try too stop taking it i literaly cannot function at all the side effects are bad enough to get managments attention and am now in trouble for not fulfilling the duties in my job i just want to quit but cannot find the time to set a side a few days to go threw withdrawls i geuss every one is different and it works for some and not for others one other good thing is that it makes me feel as if i am getting a hug all day but in life you actually have too perform as much as i like the feeling of not giveing a crap and getting a hug i have things to do and cannot do tham correctly and in a timely manner on this drugRead More Read Less

I been on this Medicine for 1 month and 1 week.The side effect I have since I have been on it is "finger nail biting".I take it early in the morning between 6-7A.M Midwest Time Zone, because it also makes it hard to get to sleep if taken the 2x a day as prescribe.Even with Ambien and Melatonin taken at night. I have Anxiety and Panic Disorder. I have to use Alprazolam known as Xanax to treat it.I take it at night and that makes me get to sleep faster rather then staying awake all night.My concentration is 100 percent better and I'm not as Hyper. But when watching T.V. and not doing anything that's when I bite my finger nail's. Outside of that it has AWESOME RESULTS. My OCD, Anxiety,Panic Attacks and ADHD all seems to be all most gone & I can get all most everything done without being all over the place.My OCD, Anxiety a long with Panic Attacks is under control and I'm not freaking out anymore if things aren't done. I'm 47yrs old and I have lived with this my whole life. It really use to control me and now for the first time in my life I have control over it!! My Childhood Doctor told my Grandmother when I was 7 yrs old that "I have Hyperness and there is no Medicine for it and just give me a little beer before I go to bed to settle down". This medication (this particular generic) has been extremely effective for me. At work there is a marked improvement in my focus, efficiency and productivity. I have taken another generic Adderall 30mg that, in comparison, is only about 10% as effective. I always check which generic a pharmacy dispenses before filling my Rx. Only complaint is sometimes there is a shortage of this medication from Oct.-Dec.

The only positive difference I felt with this drug is that I feel more awake. How is that better or different than coffee? The biggest complaint I have is that all over my body I have muscle and tendon pain with it. Yes, I know that it's because it's a stimulant, and stimulants make you urinate more, which in turn makes you lose electrolytes and cause muscle pain. However, trying to keep up with the potassium and other electrolytes needed, and still dealing with the side effects, is just not worth it! I've been taking this medication for almost a year. It was given to me for adrenal failure and low blood pressure. At first, for about 6 months, I almost felt normal again. It made me feel great! But now, I take 40mgs in the morning before I even get out of bed and still I can barely make it out of bed, downstairs to my recliner and go back to sleep! It seems all I want to do (or can do!) is lay around and sleep! I take another 20mgs in the afternoon, but nothing seems to help! HELP! I'm going back to the doctor today!
