After trying the AmLactin 12% lotion sample on calves, had severe stinging. Washed off immediately, still felt stinging and noticed rash with red dots. Will report to doctor in the morning.

I didn't read the sunburn alert on the back until it was too late. The areas with this cream exposed to the sun while swimming became red, burning and itching 2-3 days after exposure. It lasted about 10 days. Will never use it again!

This product helps my eczema without having to use a steroid. Some areas are still visible but only used this product inconsistently for 2 weeks. Also significant difference with my KP, much improved. It burns on open areas of skin but only lasts a moment and I notice these areas heal quickly with this lotion. and has a medicinal scent that dissipates after an hour or so.

Apparently I am allergic to this medication. Significant skin redness and after about one week there was also burning.

Very effective for dry skin spots on legs and upper arms. It takes at least 6 weeks to see results but then steady, slow improvement. Should be used daily.

Thank you for all the reviews! Now I know this hideous red bumby rash will go away! I had a horrible reaction to this lotion! I have never had such a severe skin condition, not since having Chicken Pox as a kid, and this is WAY worse! Can't believe my dermatologist recommended this! Thank goodness, I got it at Costco, and can return the junk! Hallalujah, it's winter, because I look like a freak show! I couldn't be more thankful for other's reviews! At least, I know the massive rashes on my body will go away, after discontinuing use! Read More Read Less

After a month or so of use I developed these red spots on the areas I was using it. The dermatologist said they were caused from little broken blood vessels near the surface of the skin. They were very many of these things and started to clear up and within 3 weeks were gone after I stopped using the AmLactin. The doc said their is an acid in the product which could have caused this but he had recommended it to many other patients without getting this reaction. I must believe it was the AmLactin because of the area covered was the only area that got the red spots, they only came after I started using the product, and they went away after I stopped using it. To me, it is the culprit.Read More Read Less

I suffered from dry, peeling skin on the palms of my hands. After spending hundreds of dollars on Rx medicines with no benefit to my hands, I find it odd that an over-the-counter cream did the trick within a week. My results may have been faster had I followed the doctor's instructions to the letter, for I only applied the cream when I went to sleep at night (i.e. once a day, vs. morning and night) because I (unnecessarily?) worried that the cream would interact/affect the things I touched while working.Read More Read Less

I have always had horrible problems with my skin (bumps on arms, rashes, and scaly spots). I usually use it after doing a whole body scrub in the shower with a generic store scrub. Then i apply it all over afterwards. I have also begun to use it on my face 2-3 weekly and it has improved my texture and tone too. It might burn a little but it's well worth the pain.

i've had dry scaly patches on my arms and legs for years, and they often got infected from scratching them. this lotion made them go away overnight. also helped to clear up ingrown hairs on my legs when i used it in the mornings after shaving. love it.

I have a form of icthyosis and this is the first lotion I have used that has completely made my flaky, scaly skin disappear. After using it twice a day for a week my skin is smooth and soft. I wish I had known about this lotion years ago.
