Luckily this med DOES work for me very well. I am only 58 years old and had to take retirement about 5 years ago due to chronic pain and other diseases that hit all at the same time. I have osteoarthritis in my lower spine now and it's progressing due to my severe osteoporosis (causing many broken bones), collagenous colitis, thyroid disease, and chronic cervical pain from a car accident many yea...
TO ANY ADDICT OUT THERE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY>>WON"T EVEN GET U WELL UNLESS U HAVE A LOT...BEST BET IS TO QUIT PILLS ALL TOGETHER AND FIND MEDITATION ....GET COMFORTABLE IN YOUR SKIN ASAP BEFORE LIFE SLIPS BY...good luck!

IT HELPS BUT NOT ENOUGH, ONLY ALLOWED TWO A DAY AND IT'S JUST NOT WORKING BECAUSE BY THE TIME IT'S TIME TO TAKE AGAIN THE PAIN IS IN A FULL BLOW OUT AND TAKES MORE THAN ONE TO GET PAIN LEVEL DOWN TO WHERE IT'S MORE MANAGEABLE.

I had gallbladder removal and was prescribed the percocet 5/325. The markings were 4839 with a v and was white and round. In the past for various problems I had the Watson 512. Anyway the ones prescribed were worthless. I thought it was just me but after reading other reviews I found similar opinions. I really thought the drugstore had given me a placebo or something bootleg. I had to take 2 at a time for relief which I did not want to do but fortunately they worked.

Luckily this med DOES work for me very well. I am only 58 years old and had to take retirement about 5 years ago due to chronic pain and other diseases that hit all at the same time. I have osteoarthritis in my lower spine now and it's progressing due to my severe osteoporosis (causing many broken bones), collagenous colitis, thyroid disease, and chronic cervical pain from a car accident many years ago. I take this drug along with a couple other meds and I get along quite well...as long as I don't run out of my meds. I know I am addicted and when I run out for a couple of days the pain is intolerable and the withdrawal symptoms are sickening...I don't even sleep. My doctor is a 'pill counter'. She does not understand that underlying illnesses make me quite nauseous at times and I vomit a lot. Of course, I run out of my meds several days early, but she is a strict 30-day supplier. I have to take my bottles of meds to my appointments as if I were a 5-year-old. I don't know if taking addicting pain meds are really worth it, but I have tried MANY other ways to control pain and nothing else works. I MUST have my Oxycodone to live a normal life. Sad, huh?Read More Read Less

long term treatment. much better than any of the other classes of drugs- hypnotics and amtriptiline types. be aware of the addiction potential and limit daily intake to 49 mgs.

I really think someone needs to investigate the company that produces this medication because something is wrong with it. I'm disabled and take pain medication to control the chronic pain I have from 4 spinal fusions. When my pharmacy gives me name brand medications my pain is manageable. When they give me generic (produced by Actavis) I'm in significantly more pain and feel withdrawal symptoms as if I skipped doses. It’s more than coincidental that it happens whenever generics are issued. Unfortunately, the pharmacy has difficulty maintaining inventory and often alternates between generic and name brand. same as one of the other comments. this med. sucks. I don't care what anyone says about its the same pill just a different manufacturer. Each manufacturer makes the pills the why the want. The chemicals are not the same. The Watson brand (has 512 on it and is round) is the best but from what I hear Watson was bought out and those are no longer available. if anyone else has information on this please let me know.

causes stomach problems at tmes.medical professionals look down on th patient for taking it thinking you are one of those people that uses it to get high. The medication allows me to get my daily tasks done better and I am able to exercise to slow the pergression of the disease. Gives the ability to make plans with family and friends without fear of pain interferring so much. The pain causes depression and hopeless feelings so with less pain it allows for plansfor the future and career goals.

I have recently been prescribed this medication (3 weeks). I have found the medication to extremely helpful with my pain caused by Neuropathy. My life has returned to be semi-normal. I still have some pain but compared to what the pain level was before I am happy with the pain relief.

This Medications does not do anything for me !I am in so much pain and if anything makes my pain worst...even hydrocodone is more effective than this ! I took the 512 in the past and that one really works! I will ask my Dr. for that one!
