After my second surgery for ulcerative colitis (total Cole to my and j pouch) this medication 10MG every 6 hours controlled my pain starting on day 3. Since 2005 when I took it occasionally, my requirements increased, and sometimes one pill doesn't control my pain, while at other times 1/2 tab will reduce my pain to an acceptable level. ITCH ITCH ITCH How can anyone take this drug? I can not take the itching. I do not want to take a antihistamine each time I use it daily. DR. will not give me any other drug alternative, said there is none. Lower back pain, knee replacement pain and IBS.

I've taken 20 mg continuously every 6 hours day and night (80 mg/24 hrs) for several years for bad osteoarthritis pain. Because of side effects experienced, I just committed to 15 mg (60 mg/24 hrs) after trying this dosage for several weeks, with an expected and actual increase in pain when doing household tasks. After enduring over 2 years of terrible nonstop (spine,neck, hip) pain, i sought medical help. Along with a few epidurals and hydrocodone I finally could engage in normal activities; bathing, sitting, walking etc and pain range 3-5.
