I have cronic back pain due to an injury. I had surgery in March of 2003 to try to repair the damage, but it was not successful. So I have was prescibed Hydrocodone/APAP, and if not for this medication, I would no longer be able to work or have a normal life. (I also take Neurontin for nerve pain and Ultram for inflamation.) But due to those people who abuse such medications, it is hard to find a ...

Tris Norco 10mg keeps changing their pills to now feels like I'm taking ultram! Why is this legal they've been messing with it for a year now. The other generics are all worthless too so I won't even bother . Please people call FDA daily file complaints on their website as well as with Tris pharmacuticals call them daily make complaints , til they get sued and fined for this. This is NOT HYDROCOD...

The hydrocodone brand that works well for me is the Rhodes brand 10/325. It is what deals with the pain and works best for me overall. Since Rhodes has been on hold, and just now got back into production, I'm told it can take two months to get the hydrocodone

I agree with all the negative complaints on Mallinckrodt. No relief from pain. I had a few left over yellow tabs that were made by Qualitest and although they were a issued in 2018 I took one half of the 10 mg and it immediately relieved the pain in my lower back and it made me feel much better overall in terms of having the energy for physical activities. And they were 5 years old and STILL effective! The Mallinckrodt tablets made me feel tired, slightly dizzy and no relief from pain -- almost as if it were a placebo with bad effects. I cannot understand why Mallinckrodt has cornered the market everywhere in every pharmacy across the U.S.? Can someone answer that question? No other options from different companies? When I ask the pharmacists they say the same thing: We have no control - that is what the suppliers provide and one pharmacist who tried to order others because he was receiving many complaints about the Mallinckrodt said that the others were blocked out as in Not Available. What the hell is going on? Does this have something to do with China? Pretty shocking that most if not all of our meds are made in China, a dictatorship that hates the U.S. Big Pharma could care less as long as they make their big profits. I don't trust the Biden administration. Everything has changed for the worst since they (Obama's people) got back into office with high inflation, shipping problems, shortages of food, severe shortages of medicines, high fuel prices and now WWIII??!! I have several herniated disc stenosis and several other issues. I've taken hydrocodone for almost 30 years now. Lately it been a real pain to find a pharmacy that has it in stock. I know that's our wonderful government behind this. However the past two months I've had to use a different pharmacy than I normally use because of the availability. The pharmacy has filled my scripts with Mallinckrodt brand!! This is a joke. I get more relief from ibuprofen. I've even doubled my dosage and still get No Relief! How can they get by with this? Something has to be done to stop fake medicine and the control that our government has over us! I'm in so much pain I regularly have epidurals as well as nerve ablations done to help with the pain. I'm not just a freaking pill head I'm in severe pain daily and this is such a waste of money not only that I keep having to take nausea meds since the two months I've been given this brand. Something has got to give here.Read More Read Less

I looked up effectiveness of new hydrocodone/acetaminophen and I see I'm definitely not alone with noticing my prescriptions for the last 8 months are not working. It's like taking Tylenol only! This last manufacturer that has been the worst is Amneal Pharmaceutical! As many stated, we have been on these for years due to chronic pain. We certainly notice that this medicine is NOT taking the pain away. .... not due to tolerance! What are we to do? I called CVS and they said no one else has complained. How can this be? I have numerous spinal injuries, L3,4,5 lamanectomy, fusions of C2,3,4,5,6,L1,L2,L3, a carbon fiber cage for C7 and 2 rods in the back holding my head up. I also have ppms. I need pain meds not some kind of placebo substitute like Lukin is passing off. What makes this acceptable or legal ?

This has been the ONLY medication that work for me. I’ve been treated by the Director of Pain Management and the President of all Pain Management of PR and the Virgin Islands and We had try everything and anything that they can imagine, from injections, therapeutic treatments, Percocet, Laser treatments, Injections Blockers and all possible alternatives, Vycodin (Hydrocodone) 10/325 in pills is the only medication that has given me the alternative to be able to handle the pain and my tolerance from 1 to 10, is 5. I used to be a Morbid Obese patient that in my heaviest weight was 717 pounds and after Gastric bypass surgery in 2009, all side effects through this surgery, the removal of 7’ feet of small intestine, at this moment my intake of Vitamins, Medications and food is only 20%. I already lost 556 pounds and I went from having 84”(inches) of waist down to 160 pounds and 32” of waist. I already had an Abdominal Plastic surgery removing 50 pounds of fat & skin.Read More Read Less

I was taking generic Norco 5-325 (brand name no longer avail) but doctor only would prescribe #30 for a month and I was having to take 2 on certain days for pain relief when I needed some quality of life (errands, walking for exercise, cleaning, etc). So the doctor increased me to the Norco 10-325 and said just break them in half. My pharmacy had issued my prescriptions with the Mallinckrodt for the 10-325. A half tablet (which were easy to split) worked ok for some moderate pain relief. I didn't experience any negative side effects. My 2nd month, the pharmacy switched manufacturers on me and gave me ones by "Lupin". They crumble easily, so didn't split nicely. There was NO pain relief at all. Instead, I experienced extreme drowsiness, dizziness and 6 hrs later a bad headache. I tried a few doses on different days and got the same negative side effects and zero pain relief. I see negative reviews for Mallinckrodt, but I didn't experience anything bad, just moderate pain relief. So I've suffered thru the month with my pain, unable to get anything done until I can fill my next month's prescription. If they only are going to carry Lupin, I'm switching pharmacies! Many years ago I had to take pain meds and the Watson generic were the only ones that helped me and learned one month that Teva were worthless for pain. Pharmacies should notify patients and inquire if we're ok with changing generic manufacturers. Because of whatever laws surround these pain meds, they won't allow to exchange them at all for a different generic brand that we know works for us. It really is a load of bull when they say generics are all the same or that they even equal the quality of the name brand. Yes, they have the same amount of active ingredient, but the QUALITY of the ingredient is different among manufacturers. Perhaps one generic helps one patient, but is horrible for another. It's been a frustrating lesson that I forgot about to inquire to the pharmacy exactly what generic manufacturer they will be providing me with. I suggest others pay attention to and when you find a generic pain med that works for you, make sure you receive the same brand every month.Read More Read Less

I have an idea....HOW ABOUT DOCTORS GETTING US WELL, SO WE DON"T HAVE TO USE PAIN MEDICATIONS....What an idea huh??? I have interstitial cystitis....this pain is from hell...we are told LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR..so, I have had 2 bladder cocktails, I was told I would need at least 12 of them...well of course I would...anything, ANYTHING to keep that money rolling in. I was told it would take at least 12 of these treatments...NOW this Drs. office called me right before the 3rd cocktail, lets set up an appointment to see other options to stop this I.C.. problem....why then WHY THEN, did he tell me I would need 12 of these treatments...??? Patients have options of reading on line on what to do for some of their pain problems...OH, try Omega oil...oh try this, try that....alllllllllllll it is, is more money into the manufacturers pocket, how do we know if the pills they sell us are nothing but oil in a capsule...maybe wesson oil...they don't work, we still suffer in pain, do they care, NOPE, lets try to convince the next sucker to buy them....people are PAID to leave good reviews for what ever snake oil manufacturers are selling, leads us to nothing but confusion, anything done about this...NO, as for those PILLS being FDA approved, I don't trust that anymore!!Read More Read Less

Most pharmacies carry the generic brand Mallinckrodt, of which are rubbish. Save your money don't even fill the R/X if it is that generic brand. If you are a sincere chronic pain sufferer my advice, ask your Md. for a substitute to this formula. There is a concerted effort between this company and healthcare officials to manufacture rubbish for legitimate pain sufferers. Anyone's guess is good as mine why that is the situation. My guess is when they were the old formula it was a cheap way to give chronic pain patients quality and longevity to life. Hospitals and Md. offices have accumulated massive debt and cutting out these medications will get patients thru those revolving doors. Good luck, don't buy street drugs and don't get angry. It will make things worse.Read More Read Less

I have many reasons I'm on norco. Currently, I fell 3 months ago and the pain in my back is a 10!! I've been able to live and function at a 5 to 6 out of 10 on lupin and aurobundo? Brands. Went to fill my script for July 1 And CVS doesn't carry ANY norco. Not even for a 70 mile radius. So I had pain dr call into another pharmacy whose promised they'll have some. Got a call the next day sorry we are all OUT!!I. Called at least 20 different pharmacies. The pain Dr's now don't give paper scripts. So had to call them and transfer to a THIRD pharmacy. Which they told me screw off too bad. Hahahhaaha..Jokes on ME My pcp calls in a one week script to a different pharmacy. Mallinkrondt. Everywhere pharmacies thar DO have norco only have Mallinkrondt I've been sleeping non stop, brain fog. Nauseated, pain seems amplified to where I can't function!!!! Suicidal thoughts. What is this shit. Seriously!!!!!!!! It's NOT norco period. All it's doing is making it so I don't have withdraws I think it's fricking low dose suboxone TBH. Something is DEFINITELY not RIGHT!!!!! The FDA HAS to be in on this. I've been taking norco for 8 years and NEVERRRR experienced this. Like ever. Read More Read Less

Mallingkropf (sp) 4mg tablets 5/23: I actually reported these to the FDA. 16mg felt like nothing. After the report I kept trying (surprise--I couldn't get a replacement rx, but that'sanother letter) and then felt they increased my pain, with addition of headaches which I reported to mfgr. only who followed up. Looking back I wonder if I was in withdrawal, complete with suicidal thoughts. But why I am really here: Raise your voices! Stop allowing them to push us around. Write those letters, even if you can only eke out 'too much pain to write but want to at least say _____ is just wrong. Good luck!Read More Read Less

I was a 57 yr old delivery driver got rear ended at stop sign.Dr prescribed norco-took them for 12 yrs maxing out Kaiser guide lines. No nausea no headaches no adverse affects . Try loading freight with crippling back pain. Continuous full ache that would expand to vise like tightness. I took them for 12 years-little withdrawals symptoms lasted a few days . Going to return to using them as I am back in that line of work. I’m sorry for all who had adverse reactions; without them I could not have performed at the level required. As for the party who stated these are just for stoners- walk a mile in my shoes-better yet load a ton or do of freight drive 150 miles a day unloading thst at 40-50 stops a day then pick up another 20 plus stops and get Back in time to meet an outbound truck- do that 10hrs a day and tell me those things don’t work. I see you UPS guy. You’re a man who works way harder than I do ( except for the loading part). When you see him a @10 at night with a full size truck and trailer in residential neighborhoods he’s working. Closest thing to Santa Claus. Makes me feel like an elf. When I get done with my 50+ stops a day I’m worn up. Just thankful those worked for meRead More Read Less

I have a L1 T12 incomplete spinal cord injury since 1985. I have been taking nrcos for about 7 years. They were so perfect for my particular pain, I was able t get 2 AS degrees, raise 2 teens and go back to work. But something changed, the yellow norcos were no longer available. I have been on the 2 different generic brands Rhoads and Mallinckrodt. both make me nauseous and itchty and do not work for pain! I am frustrated because my quality of life is not the same because of this switch. I am fighting chronic pain daily and it is exhausting! Does anyone know of a better generic brand that is available? I may be able to find a pharmacist who would get them for me..Read More Read Less

I've been on Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen 5/325 since 2015. I have DDD with 3 disc herniations, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, a small cartilage tear in my left knee, and bone spurs in both shoulders. The original manufacturer, Watson, was very good. It worked perfectly and after getting a bit nauseous at first, it soon passed and I had no problems. Fast-forward a few years and Mallinckrodt (spelling?) took over as the manufacturer. Omg, the difference was so awful! I developed severe nausea, ringing in my ears, sweating, palpitations, feeling jittery, muscle twitches, and lots of itching. The medicine also did not work well and wore off within 2 hours. Tonight, my pharmacy received their supply from a different manufacturer called Lupin. I noticed the difference an hour after I took it! No side effects at all! I don't have that rolling, pukey feeling that I did with the Mallinckrodt, and I'm not sweaty or jittery, and my heart is beating normally. It is also working much better. I'm not sure what kind of crap Mallinckrodt was putting into their medicine, but I know it wasn't good, and especially since I've read the reviews here and people talking about the same things I was experiencing. Out of all the side effects, the nausea and sickness were the worst. What a difference switching manufacturers made! I'll be calling my pharmacy tomorrow and telling them to never give me the Mallinckrodt brand again, and to stick with Lupin from now on. I'm so sorry to hear what others have had to go through with that horrid Mallinckrodt brand! I'm hoping that that business received enough complaints and lawsuits against them to finish them off once and for all, and that they'll never be able to manufacture another drug ever again! They should be ashamed of themselves with such poor quality and making so many people sick from their product! May they burn in the deepest pit of h€ll!Read More Read Less

Just reading all these reviews confirms what I already know. These norcos are not the same! I’m on 90 10 mg a month- and I get zero pain relief! I’ve also had some very serious gut issues since taking them and I believe they are directly tied. It is so screwed up to take away someone’s right to a decent somewhat normal life living with chronic pain. Something needs to be done and be done soon.

Does not work for pain. Side effects are horrible. Really bad nausea. Very weak. Does not have the correct amount of active ingredients. I get sick with this mallinckrodt brand medication. I didn't get sick with other brands . The pharmacies don't have other brands now which should be against the law. Very bad product !!
