I'm 43 and have been an asthma and allergy sufferer since childhood. At first, Advair was a miracle drug and my rescue inhaler was almost never needed. Now, 4, maybe 5 years later, I'm having a horrible time with throat irritation and am starting to experience sporadic hoarseness. My throat is not sore, but constantly feels like it has phlegm that needs to be cleared and my voice will just ... Show Full Comment

I have developed Madelungs disease as a result of excessive steroid use due to this drug. This is a rare and irreversible disease with serious consequences. More and more people are developing Madelungs. Do no drink alcohol whe using Advair.
