I have been on Sirolimus for less then two months. Broke out with lesions is what my Dr. is calling them, and bad night sweats. I have had a kidney transplant since 1997 and have been fortunate of never experiencing rejection. For the first sixteen years I was prescribed a combination of cyclosporine, prednisone and azathioprine. In 2006 I had a two strokes and thanks to one of my children, I received treatment before I had the strokes. Later on, I developed antiphospholipid syndrome a blood clotting disorder. I also had a heart attack. Then in 2013 I was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma. I lost my left eye, cancer spread on the eye and lymph nodes. The only treatment I could receive was radiation. After the Cancer diagnosis, I was put on the lowest dose of syrolimus and prednisone regime. So far, I have had no problems with this medication treatment. I feel fortunate, that I had the opportunity of getting a cadaveric kidney. I got to see my children grow up and become contributing members of society. Everything else that happens to me, it will be like a cherry on top of ice cream. Read More Read Less

I am looking for a new drug to replace this one. Have been on Prograf which caused toxicity in transplanted Kidney after 7 years. Was in bed for almost a year before they did a biopsy of transplant to figure out what was wrong. The Prograf was causing me to very tired all the time. Unable to work.Read More Read Less
