I take 10mg at night an hour before bed along with 10mg of Valium. It is the only combo that I have had success with and if I don't take it I cannot sleep at all. I have tried Ambien and Trazadone in the past and they stopped working. Also tired Serequel but had an adverse reaction as it woke me up instead of making me sleep. I am very happy with it and have no drowsy side effects in the morning. ...
Scary stuff Heed the warnings - e.g., avoid alcohol and taking more than prescribed dosage Has led to bizarre dreams, sleepwalking and potentially fatal bike race accident when the dosage belatedly became effective Not worth the risk Instead try exercise, hot milk and a good book

To fall asleep QUICKLY - must take 10 mg 2 hrs. BEFORE planned sleep time. ALSO, MUST TAKE - TRAZODOL 100 MG - HALF HOUR BEFORE PLANNED SLEEP. I sleep 8 hrs - BUT - feel UNBALANCED next day - not happy about that.

I took this medicine at 11:30 pm, and woke up in the middle of the night 5 times very abruptly with intense anger, which has never been a problem for me. This medicine was made by the devil, do not take it!! It doesn't work, and waking with such intense anger all 5 times is very scary!! Only took it one day, and that's enough for me. Asking doc for new med.

I have taken Zaleplon five times to help me fall asleep . It has done just the opposite. I feel wide awake and am up most of the night. It does not relax me at all. I plan to ask my doc for another med.

I take it 20-30 mins before intended sleep, get in bed with a book and have had no trouble getting drowsy/falling asleep. Works for the middle of the night as well.

Having taken Zaleplon early in the evening, I had a restless night waking up several times. The next day was the real problem--was confused...trying to sort out was really happening and what I might have dreamt about the night before. I was unable to focus my thoughts and had a hard time concentrating on what I had planned to do the day after I took the medication. Interested to learn if others have the "day after" symptoms I'm describing.

The first two nights I took it I was awake all night. It seemed to make me feel revved up - not relaxed to sleep. I tried it for two more nights - finally getting 4 hrs of sleep which is not enough for me to function properly the next day I asked my doctor to return to me to my previous medication which had me sleeping through the night and feeling refreshed and awake the next morning.

This drug did not work at all for me, and I was taking 20mg at night at least a half hour before going to bed. Didn't matter how long before bed I took it, it didn't work. Have tried MANY different drugs to try to sleep, to no avail. I'm hoping my doc will prescribe a different drug.

I take it after my initial attempts to go to sleep through progressive muscle relaxation, yoga, and reading don't work and I've only got about 4 more hours left to sleep. The first time I took it,it didn't work. The second time I took it, I followed taking the medicine with some light stretching. It has worked now 2 or 3 times. I don't experience a hangover the next day. Any time I take a sleep aid, however, I have an extremely difficult time trying to go to sleep naturally the next night.
