I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and was put on a CPAP machine. My sleep improved and felt refreshed in the morning, but I would get these sleep attacks throughout the day when I was not engaged in an activity. A third sleep study confirmed that I had narcolepsy. This is my first week on this med. I take the 200mg.in the morning. no side effects as yet. Has worked from day1 for me. VA did two complete sleep studies and MRIs and more head studies. Then it was finally said i have narcolepsy. keeping my fingers crossed for this to be the fix for me...luck all

I began Modafinil four months ago. Since then, I have been confused, unable to focus, daily headaches, overwhelming exhaustion, yawning constantly, out of breath easily.. a complete wreck and unable to function in society. It didn't work for me, but it may work for someone else. Good luck.
