I take Rexulti and Viibryd only, after 6mo of 7 diff meds. For months and months I googled symptoms of my mental illness (after a severe psychotic break and 8 hospitalizations) and could rarely find any thing good to read. Only the bad. I have been doing AMAZING (with normal ups and downs) for a year now! I am writing a review because I want people to have hope. I almost wasn’t going to because on...
Horrible. My doctor put me on a trial .5 dose. For the first few days I felt energetic and calm -- like my feelings of dread and anxiety were going down. Then I started feeling flu-like symptoms and I just assumed I had caught a cold. The "cold" progressed for but also brought with it severe panic attacks. The Rexulti was the only new drug in my system, so I determined it to be the culprit. After ...

Quite impressed with my response to this medication. Just started 2 mg. I have more energy, have dreams again, don't feel disabled anymore. I have struggled with depression for 20 years and have 3 maternal family members who committed suicide. I sure wish this treatment had been available for them. One thing I have noticed is an increase in my already unhealthy appetite. However, I now have a desire to lose weight because I have dreams for the future again.

I am like the other reviewer in that my dreams have been Very Vivid and somewhat scary. I am, however, able to reason with myself during the dreams and tell myself that I will be Ok. The other side effect I have noticed is diarrhea...I'm prone to diarrhea anyway, but this is worse than normal and it's not subsiding as of yet. On the Good side, I have found myself drawing again, sewing again, and I seem to have the desire to do things that I haven't done in years!!! I didn't even realize I was doing all of these things until my husband pointed it out to me (and he is a huge critic of any medication). I'm Very Hopeful that it will continue to increase my desire to do the things I once Loved! I wish everyone the Best!!!Read More Read Less

Very weird and disturbing dreams have been the first side effect I have noticed and hopefully the last. This is listed in the very rare list and now I'm worried will I have more of the very rare side effects. It has seemed to help with the depression and thoughts of suicide and I like that a lot!
