I was diagnosed with ADD and severe depression by a psychrist. I have been on many many anti-depressants. The medication that helped me the most was Methylin Oral. I was passed on to many Doctors way too often and began to feel like a guini pig so I stopped believing in mental health drugs all together. Thank you so much for listening, I would like to hear from someone who believes in me. Sinc...

This mediation is an amphetamine basically and it made me feel like I was on 1000 cups of coffee.. I didn't sleep for two days, my heart was pounding, and I felt drugged the entire time. It forces your brain to use up its neurotransmitters and then when you stop you crash. It is so odd that everyone knows that meth amphetamine is bad for you but if your doc writes an Rx for a stimulant drug like t...

I have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue. When I'm not feeling so bad sometimes I can get by with a nap during the day, but my energy level is always low. When the Chronic Fatigue kicks in, sometime I will stay in bed for 4-5 days just falling in and out of sleep. When that happens I usually am awake only about 6 hours per day. My doctor prescribed this drug to help me stay awake, but at 5mg I don't think it is doing anything. Does anyone else have any additional experience as a patient with this drug for a similar condition?Read More Read Less

Seems to get better reviews for older patients, I don't think it works for children very well at all. My stepson has been on this medication for a little over two years and the side effects just keep getting worse. He seems to go a little further into his own world every day.

This has helped a lot with my focus issues and brought me success in school. It has helped me get through my depression but I it has limited other feelings. For example, I cannot feel as excited as I used to or as nervious as I used to. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I has had no help in terms of sleep. I still struggle with insomnia.

My Son is on Methylin and it gives him headaches. He also experienced a nose bleed but not sure if the medication was the cause of this even though side affect suggest some bleeding. Abilify is a great alternative and Risperdel.

Before starting this medication I was having difficulty with daily tasks. I put ice cream in the cupboard and couldnt remember if I had washed my hair already or not while in the shower. Since begining the medication, I have been able to focus and remember what I had and hadnt done yet. Its not a full proof medication, the "to-do" lists are still a required aid.

I have been taking this med for about 6 weeks. I needed a refill, I was without the med for 24hrs. and was very sleepy and lethargic. I felt withdrawal symptoms. Once I took med again my "sick" feeling went away.
