This medication works for me after all the other antidepressants either didn't work at all or stopped working. And NO...I do not work for a drug company. This medication started working much faster than others I've tried or been on and I don't to worry about the hellish withdrawal side effects I experienced when I stopped taking Effexor and celexa. I haven't gained any weight (I've actually lost a...

This was the most annoying medication to actually acquire from the pharmacy. I had to go THREE times because of the SAME issue! (That it needed approval from my doctor). And then make sure you activate their discount card before your pharmacy actually fills it. The issues surrounding this medication are not worth its effects. My doctor gave me samples to try beforehand, and honestly, I should have...

I have been on so many meds for depression with no positive results. Trintellix worked in 10 days. I am back. This has changed me life and eliminated those bad thoughts. It is saving my life.

While this medicine has helped my mood, it has shattered my sleep. I have barley slept in 4 weeks and I’m at a point I have to take a leave from work. I cannot continue use simply because I can’t sleep at all on these meds.

I've been on Trintillex for about 3 months now. My depression was severe to the point where I could not care for myself very well and I had no break whatsoever from the immense depression and anxiety. Now I'm thriving, able to actually talk and think again. I feel good more then 50% of the time which is HUGE. I often am late for my dose but it doesn't effect the effectiveness which is great since I struggle with sleep wake schedule. Only down side really is that even with a heavy meal ut makes me really nauseous for 2-3 hours. But the good by far outweigh that. So instead I take it right before I sleep to combat with the nauseous feelings. Definitely recommend to give it a fair try. It took a month to start to see a small difference.Read More Read Less

I've been on 10 different antidepressants through the last 25 years. Trintellix is the best thing that has happen to me. My depression and mood swings are completely gone. I know that everyone is different but I finally found a medication that's right for me.

Started on 5mg for a week then went to 10mg. It has been about a month since I went to 10mg. What's odd is that initially, I felt better, mentally, but had insomnia and slept very light. I wake up exhausted. I was hopeful that I had found the drug for me. Now, I still have the side-effects but I have also become irritable, can't focus, easily frustrated and agitated. Just trying to read something has become difficult. I get lost in the lines of text. I'm going to wean myself off it.

I came off of Effexor XR. I started Trintellix. This stuff made me raging mad. It was horrible. I started at 5 mg and went to 10 mg in two weeks. By week 2 I almost couldn't control my anger.

I have been on a few antidepressants over the years. Just two weeks ago I heard about Genesight. In a matter of days you get results on what antidepressants work for you. I wish I could get this word out to everyone that is suffering with depression. It’s a swab in the cheek test, send it in and in a 2-3 day period you get your results. Tells you what antidepressants will work for you and the ones that are not best for you. All the antidepressants I’ve been on in the past was on the not so good for me list. I started Trintellex 2 days ago and I swear I feel better. Today I do have a little itchy skin which I’m asking my dr. about but hope I can stay on this med. The people on here that are not having any satisfaction with your meds. Please look up Genesight and get tested, a fast and very easy way to see what antidepressants should work for you. They are great people and very fast at getting your results back to you and your Dr. In case you need to make a change in meds. Insurance usually pays for it. I don’t want anyone out there to suffer anymore, it breaks my heart. Instead of playing the guessing game with all the meds please swab your cheek and send it in and find out in a couple of days what will work for your genes. Prayers for you all, I know how horrible this illness is. Love to you allRead More Read Less

Initially, I had a huge improvement in my mood.which seemed to level off now that I have been taking it for several months. I have to take it on a full stomach as it causes severe nausea for me, interestingly most of the other reviews do not mention this as a side effect. It also gives me headaches, I now take the medication at night and seems to help with both the nausea and headaches . One big concern is I experienced suicidal ideations after missing a single dose and felt horrible, makes me terrified to ever consider stopping the medication.Read More Read Less

I switched to Trintellix 3 days ago. Just for taking 1/2 pill more by accident I almost went crazy! I had to go to urgent care! Very dangerous medicine. Please be careful.

It seemed to help at first. One of the side effects is increased risk of bleeding and bruising. I started bruising more easily on my arm without bumping into anything. I once put on a backpack weighing 10 pounds and let it slide down my arm. That caused a skin tear with bleeding and major Bruises! I stopped taking it two weeks ago and I no longer have these issues.

I first took the gene sight testing to see what works best for me. I was ok cymbalta for about 6 months with many side effects and a lot of weight gain. I decided to try something on my gene testing that shows best for my body. On a month now of trintellix and already feel a positive difference. No side effects at all compared to the nightmare I had with cymbalta. I highly suggest having the gene sight testing before you start on a new med its made a huge difference for me!

I started using this medication 3 years ago for my anxiety. `I was taking 5mg/day and when I took it for a long time I couldn't stand it. Too much fatigue and anxiety, no motivation whatsoever. One day I took it regularly for 1 month and then increased to 10mg/day. I thought 5mg would never let me know the full effect of the drug. I wanted to go to the end of the trial, strangely to prove to myself that this drug did me no good. After 5 days at 10mg I was encouraged but then it hit me to the point that I had no pleasure in my life and I endured this hell until the 16th day. Every minute of my days has been hell. I let go before I completely broke down. Now I know that this medicine is not suitable for me. I've had several in my life and this one is particularly bad. Side effects are to have no primary effects....Read More Read Less
