I wanted to give up. I was going to, I know this. It was my last chance of trying anymore anti depressants, and to my surprise, it has worked. I do not think of taking my life anymore. I'm not 100% there, but being on it now for five weeks, I feel better each day that passes. It saved me!

I started taking 20 mg. At first everything was okay. Then moved up to 40 mg. and started getting worse. I was sweating all the time, ringing in my ears, along with major mood swings. I was asked to try one more time and am still sweating all the time. Major mood swings are still a problem. I'm fine one minute than I am really angry and upset over something than normally wouldn't bother me. I just can't take this medicine so hope I can find something that will help. I have been on so many different meds over the years.Read More Read Less

I started on 20mg, then went to 40mg. It helped my depression a lot. Almost making me manic. Which wasn't good. Backed it down to 20 mg. Noticed major pain in muscles and joints. Especially in my feet and hands. I also had a rash develop on my hand and had an itching sensation all over my body. I am usually mild mannered but felt like I was angry at everything and like I was ready to scream at everyone on this medicine. It did make me undepressed but the side effects were unfavorable.

I am sensitive to medications and have found that 20 mg of Fetzima is enough for me. It has helped me get out of my shell and participate in life again. I think that a low dose can be very effective. other medications such as effexor and wellbrutin caused anxiety.

Tried Brintellix samples for a month and it made me sick to my stomach with no improvement. Then I waited two weeks and started Fetzima. World of difference. I have so much energy and enjoy life again. Wish I would have started this first.

Have had major anxiety/panic and depression since 1997. I've been prescribed numerous meds over the years and got no relief. Started Fetzima about 2 months ago. Depression and anxiety have lowered greatly. I am more talkative and interactive with others. I am grateful to my Dr for finding this and that it works. Nothing else did.

I have suffered from anxiety and IBS-C for the past 21 years. I weaned off of Lexapro 20 mg/day and tried Fetzima. Immediately, I got the worse side effects for my IBS. I suffered from lots of gas, constipation, and felt agitated. Once I got to 40 mg 2x/day, I didn't improve. I then started suffering from insomnia. I guess it helped with anxiety, but I couldn't tell because I was so focused on my IBS. I am no longer on it. It just didn't make me feel good overall and just switched to Zoloft. I have been on this medication for about a month. I have been on anit depressants for years. A medication will work for a time and then seems to lose it effects. Hoping that is not the case here. Up till now no serious side effects. Once again able to get out of bed, go to work and deal with everyday activities. I was in jeopardy of losing my job. That is no longer the case.
