I have never in my life experienced such a horrific reaction to a medication. Day one felt fine, day two the most extreme anxiety of my life. Day three, same anxiety. Quit taking after 3 days and have still had anxiety and panic attacks for the past 10 days. MUCH worse than before taking. This is a brand new drug that little is known about. It works on 5 extra receptors, compared to those of other ... Show Full Comment

I've been on 10mg for two months now. I feel better than I have in years. More energy, more myself again. Like a fog (the fog of those other meds) has lifted. But this med does come with a price, as it seems most of you have also found - the gastric irritation. I now have an ulcer which needs to be treated.

This test analyzes genes that may affect a patient’s response to antidepressant and antipsychotic medications. I have been on so many antidepressants and mood stabilizers for the past 15 years and I have struggled my whole life. My psychiatrist did this mouth swab ... Show Full Comment

A few things my provider told me to do while I have been on Brintellix: if I get nausea, take the it at night with a small snack and I will sleep through most if not all nausea; if I get a little "restless" I may be able to take Brintellix every other day especially if I am seeing improvement in my symptoms; as I feel better to make sure I am eating healthy foods and walking at least 10, ... Been on this for about 4 months now, can't wait to see my psychiatrist next week and switch meds. I get awful nausea from taking this med. The first couple months I had minimal side effects when I was on 10mg. Then when I had it increased to 20 I started having awful nausea and also decreased appetite, decreased taste, and basically didn't want to eat at all. I went back down to 10mg and s ...
