It took a month for the hot flashes to go away but I have gained 15 lbs on this. I'm going to call the Dr because I'm getting depressed from the weight gain. Nothing fits. This med is making me hungry and very difficult to control my appetite. My hot flashes and insomnia were awful but I'll deal with that instead of this weight gain. The packaging is ridiculous. To difficult to get the capsule out...

After discussing my problem with my ob/gyn which is: Severe Chronic Sweating 24/hrs a day way past menopause, not thyroid, no hormonal problems. Just constant serious, chronic, severe sweating, from the moment I step foot out if my bed in the morning, and my I start to get the slitest bit physical, I feel my head like a volcano ready to erupt into full throttle, sweating all day long. I must be...

After 6 years I have been on Premarin and my GYN decided to switch me to this medication and it's been a nightmare. I have been on it for a month and that's a month to long. The all day hot flashes and night sweats are horrible and my pharmacist said it's an anti depressant medication which I have never needed. I am going back on Premarin and taking my chances

Can't get the packaging open without mauling the capsule, and I have a terrible time getting the pill down. I'm guessing because its such a small lightweight capsule. It is helping with the hot flashes and night sweats. so I guess I will continue to fight with the ridiculous amount of packaging and the swallowing problem.Any suggestions out there ??

I have gained a ton of weight. I'm so mad. I love this medication because my hot flashes are gone. I may stop taking it and see how it goes.

A few hours after taking ONE tablet I woke up with extreme stomach cramps, then diarrhea, then unrelenting nausea and vomiting. What a waste of $150 to try ONE pill! Samples from the company sure would have saved me money. Glad it works for others. It was a nightmare for me!

I was prescribed this med & almost an hour after taking it, I had an excruciating headache. I vomited ALL night long & was sooooo cold!! I will NEVER take this nor recommend it to anyone. I also informed my ob/gyn.

At 38, you can imagine my surprise when I woke up several times a night soaked in sweat only to be diagnosed with hot flashes. Now at 39, no more! It's also summer, and still no return of the night sweats. The packaging is impossible - I have learned to be very careful, like an eggshell, when punching the pill through the paper. The maker could compress this into a tablet form, or just use a smaller capsule, bit it's all about "branding" their new miracle drug. I did notice the Brisdelle stopped working when I was on an antibiotic. That I had to tough out. The sweats went away again once I was done with the antibiotic. This has saved my sanity and the sanity of my family and co-workers.Read More Read Less

I have been taking Brisdelle for almost 2 months,It has really helped with my hotflashes. However,I began having some bleeding as if I'm having a cycle now, Which I hadn't had for months until I started taking Brisdelle. Also my sex drive is very low. My doctor told me I can stop taking it and go back to having the hotflashes or deal with the bleeding.I like it because it does help the hotflashes and it's Non-Hormonal. But I can't take the irritation of the bleeding, cramps and pain as if I'm having a cycle again. Is their any other Non-Hormonal drug without the bleeding? Read More Read Less

The first three weeks were great! Reduced hot flashes immediately. Very little nausea. After three weeks night sweats came back, flashes back (Maybe not as many), sexual ability gone! Very disappointed and looking for alternatives.

Hot flashes have decreased by 75% but now have increased urination and extreme heartburn. Still the positive out weighs the negative right now.

I have taken this for three weeks. Some decrease in night sweats and severity. Just tired ALL THE TIME since taking this drug. Can't take naps every day and function in my business. I will look for another option.

It took almost 3 weeks for the hot flashes to subside, but is working great and can sleep throughout the night. Had a hard time at first locating pharmacy that carried/stocked Birsdelle and have had issues getting refills, even with advance notice of refills. Hate the packaging as well.

This medication started to work in one week. Hot flashes decreased 80% with less intensity. However, after two months, the hot flashes are back full force. I continue to take it but I will check back with my gyn to find another treatment. The packaging is impossible. Difficult to remove pill and they almost always get crushed.

Initially had complete relief from my hot flashes after one week! I was ecstatic! Six weeks later they are back! And getting progressively worse , also bad insomnia. I hate the packaging also. It's so excessive h and the pills are always crushing! Going to talk to my doc, but think I'll need to find an alternative :(

this medication made me behave in a strange and peculiar way. It's hard to explain, but I certainly wasn't myself and I couldn't wait to discontinue use.

I experienced nausea in the second week of use for about 5 days. It then subsided. Hot flashes decreased by 50%. Hate the packaging. It defies you to get the capsule out without breaking it. Despite this, I will stay on it for now.

I agree with a prior comment. I took it for 3 days. I also felt disconnected and felt my eyesight was blurry. It also made me nauseous. I stopped taking it. Wondering if I should have given it more time. Just don't know if I can handle the way it made me feel.

I was on it for 5 weeks before I experienced relief, i.e., fewer hot flashes and definitely less intense. I was pretty happy and thinking I was going to stay on the medication even though it is expensive. However, the hot flashes are back in full force! I'm wondering if I got a bad batch of medicine.

My hot flashes stopped after 1 week. The crazy mood swings have also stopped. My only negative effect has been total loss of appetite. I have to remember to eat. I'm very happy with this medication!
