Have had glaucoma for 38+ years. Been through most of the commonly known drugs, ointments. Had trabeculectomy in left eye when could not get pressure down from high 20's plus. Went to Simbrinza and Travatan Z 2x a day. Went to Simbrinza 3x a day in left eye when 2x a day not producing low enough pressures which were low 20's and wanting to climb. Still in combination with Travatan 2x. Now, pr...

After several years of glaucoma treatment with drops and laser, I woke up one morning with a 75 percent vision loss in one eye. I was placed on Simbrinza. Almost from day one, both of my eyes became red and irritated. After two weeks, I began to have severe muscle pain all over, from my neck down my legs. Ten days of torture, and I was told to d/c the meds. This is day three without this medic...

Worked great for like 3 years, but then my eyes started having a reaction giving me mild conjunctivitis and dermatitis. I guess I got a allergy from them after awhile

I take simbrinza 2 times per day both eyes along with bimatoprost. Upon taking my eyes feel scratchy but it goes away after a bit. Also upon taking it immediately reduces the red inflamed vessels in my eyes and makes them almost totally white, yay. For me the other side effect were minimal and went away after a few weeks. I was on combigan for a few months prior and it did not reduce my pressures and caused major irritation in both eyes to the point that I asked to be taken off of.

Hi Im man of 75 years. I have tried most of the medications. Do not forget that all medicatons have side effects. I started 5 months ago The pressure was 37. Only Simbrinza managed to reduce the pressure to 15. Fantastic good medicine. The words best withoat a doubt. No side effects, a little blurred vision, but which diappears after 5 min. Many thanks to Simbrinza. Im very happy now.

Like many of your readers I have been using this drug for 2 weeks and I too experience the irritation, the red eye, the itching but most disturbing to me is the drowsiness. It goes beyond just fatigue. I have to work around it, if I have errands in the morning I take when I return. When I stop moving around it takes me out as if I was taking some kind of opioid. Itâ??s a scary and very strange feeling. It takes me up to 4 hrs to get back to my normal function. Not sure if Iâ??ll continue with it, other drugs like timolol have steroids which have a negative effect on me too.Read More Read Less

On the third day of taking Simbrinza I felt very unwell within an hour of taking it. I took my blood pressure and it was 70/41. I lay down for an hour and took it again and it was 67/40 with pulse 42 and rang the ambulance. I was not giddy but felt terrible with a feeling of heaviness affecting my whole body. I am a very healthy active person on no other medications, so this really floored me.

Had sensitivity to light and eye muscle spasms. painfull. When I take it I pinch my tear ducts for 5 minutes and do mot get any taste at all. Then I sponge my eyes and dry them 3 times using water and Tissues. This removes the remaining preserbites in the Simbitza. Without this method I cna not use it.

Don't know if this is working; only been on 3 weeks. Can't sing in choir, dry mouth. tired and dizzy. Think I will go off immediately. Can't function when you feel as if you are going to faint. No energy at all. Also not able to sleep. Bad!!! Kids at school keep asking why I have blood in my eyes. Bags under my eyes from change in sleep habits.

Changed to Simbrinza from Cosopt after Cosopt quick controlling pressure. Simbrinza didn't reduce the pressure much (30 to 24) but had side effects of irritated dry eyes and very blurred vision. Dry mouth for a while after morning dose was tolerable but being unable to see was unacceptable for a drug that is supposed to help prevent loss of vision.

The tip of the bottle is extremely sharp, it need to be changed to a more rounded and smoother tip. (Look at other eye drop bottle). This drug is used primarily by our aging population and getting poked with this sharp head bottle can prove very dangerous. I've only been using this for a week and already hurt myself at least 4x. Please consider changing it ASAP

Side effects went away after a while. This is the only med I've found that doesn't cause inflammation of the retina. Very expensive and not covered by my insurance!

After a few days of use, my eyes would burn and water. I would have to stay in a dark room with no light because of the sensitivity to the glare. Also, after some research, I discovered there is an obscure ingredient of sulfa. I a allergic to this drug. No wonder my eyes were messed up. I cannot and will not use this drop again.

I was given this drop to control the pressure in the left eye because of aneurysm in the eye. We suspected glaucoma initially, but was later ruled out. Eye pressure in both eyes seems to be in the ballpark. Is it because of the Simbriza to the left eye? Not sure. The "1" negative I'd like to note is that the eyedrop perhaps is on the thick side. So, when I apply it (1 drop each evening), TOO often I don't sense any fluid going in. Mostly, I'd feel something landing on the eyelid even. IF it's MORE, MORE fluidy, I'm sure it would have been much better.Read More Read Less

It has caused headaches on a daily basis that I cannot live with. It also gave me dry mouth and some light-headedness, as well as other side effects. I have used the drops, then stopped to see if that was what was causing the problems. Each time I start up again, the migraines start.

I am using Simbrinza in combination with Latanoprost for normal-tension glaucoma. I am experiencing the irritation, itching and redness side effects, but use preservative-free saline drops to help. The worst side effect that I am experiencing is a change in the taste and smell of certain foods so as to make them unpalatable.

I have been on Simbrinza alone (2X a day) or in combination with Travatan Z or Lumigan (1x a day) for a couple of years (only in one eye where glaucoma was the result of several eye surgeries for other issues). Eye has burned somewhat (switched from Travatan to Lumigan because of that) but, more recently, my eye is so red that people ask if I have "pink eye" and lubricating drops only help a little. Other descriptions of symptoms are ones I have noticed but thought they were the result of seasonal allergies. Redness is even worse when I have been on the computer a lot but it's there when I wake up. I have just been taken off this drug and may try laser surgery next.Read More Read Less

Pressure down, but eye irritation , blurriness, and red eyes make using this questionable. Still have years of working ahead of me, these issues are complicating my use of computer for my job. Have lower back pain, never had before, will have to check into possible kidney stones.

BTW, take when waking up, at dinner time and around noon (set an alarm on your cell phone to remind you!).Read More Read Less

I started using this drug a few days ago. I switched from Alphagan. However, my doctor told me to discontinue because the drug in only 3 days has caused fatigue/drowiness; dizziness while driving, confusion, and light-headed. I feel like I'm in a fog.
