Have had glaucoma for 38+ years. Been through most of the commonly known drugs, ointments. Had trabeculectomy in left eye when could not get pressure down from high 20's plus. Went to Simbrinza and Travatan Z 2x a day. Went to Simbrinza 3x a day in left eye when 2x a day not producing low enough pressures which were low 20's and wanting to climb. Still in combination with Travatan 2x. Now, pr...
After several years of glaucoma treatment with drops and laser, I woke up one morning with a 75 percent vision loss in one eye. I was placed on Simbrinza. Almost from day one, both of my eyes became red and irritated. After two weeks, I began to have severe muscle pain all over, from my neck down my legs. Ten days of torture, and I was told to d/c the meds. This is day three without this medic...

Like many other reviewers, I have found Simbrinza to be painful to use (i.e., causes extreme dry eyes, redness...to the point others ask if I'm ok or have I been crying, burns when applied). My eyes itch, I experience blurred vision, increased eye pressure, sinus pain, headaches. Horrible! I have used most of the other standards: Latanaprost,Azopt, etc. NOTHING has been this bad. AND, my pressure continues to fluctuate to extremes. See dr. tomorrow. Hopeful for surgery! ...have had several! Grateful for my eyesight!!Read More Read Less

this medication was prescribed as a supplement to my regular long term eye med, upon using it as directed for two days, I experienced increasingly severe eye pain, unusual light sensitivity and blurring of vision, all of which continued unabated for an additional two days. I have discontinued the Simbrinza and am now using a different supplement which is doing much better. My suggestion is for a battery Company to buy up the patent and use it for battery acid--terrible stuff!!!

Of all the drops I have used, this one has an immediate negative affect on eye comfort. Exacerbates dry eye x 100% Redness, foreign sensations and is causing day to day depression due to the constant irritation. I am going off this drug immediately.

I've been using this for 8 months in conjunction with Lantanaprost after Lantanaprost stopped working. It has been pure torture. My eye is constantly red, scratchy, and dry. Occasinally at night my eye is painful, I get headaches, and feel like I'm suffocating because my nose stops up. I cannot leave the house without sun glasses, day or night, because people stare at my blood red eye. My next appointment is in one month and my doctor will find something that works without the pain or I will find another doctor.Read More Read Less

I have advanced glaucoma and have been switched from one medication to another to reduce my pressure to below 10. Sambrinza has brought it downtown to 12. My doctor wants me to use it 3 times a day, but I can hardly tolerate the side effects with 2 drops a day. I feel drugged, drowsy, dizzy and sleepy, shortly after I instill the drops in both eyes. Often my eyelids feel very heavy and sometimes they itch and burn. If I use the drops 3 times a day I can hardly function, since it takes a couple of hours to overcome all the bad effects . My doctor still wants me to continue with the drops . I'm so confused what to do.Read More Read Less

Lowered pressure in eye by 20%. Used twice/day instead of three. Did not burn like other drops I have used. No side effects other than temporary cloudy vision. (5 min) Would definitely recommend .

My eye pressure has gone down, however, I feel light headed and dizzy at times, particularly when getting out of the car on a warm day. I have been extremely tired while doing things during the day and when I sit down, I feel like falling asleep. If I could get off of this drug, I would. I have never felt so bad in my entire life.

Drop stings, then burns, vision is blurred, and I have stringy white discharge. I have no idea if it has helped lower my pressure yet, but I don't think the side-effects are worth it, and the cost of the drop is rather high, even with insurance.
