Before I started using this I read these reviews and became horrified this was going to be the worst thing to happen to me, but I've been extremely fine with it no bad side effects at all

I've been taking birth control for 12 years and in the past 3 years been on Tri-Estarylla. CVS changed it and I assumed it would be the same has the one I had before. I was wrong. I didn't have any physical problems like most ladies and it did do its job..no pregnancies. I just started feeling off. I become more anxious, and depressed before my period. I thought this was normal. Until, my new doct...

My daughter was taking Tri-Previfem for cramps and acne. She was doing well on it, but after about 4 months, the pharmacy switched her to Tri-Estarylla. They told us it was the same exact thing. After the first day or two, she became extremely nauseous, congested, achey, dizzy. She missed 3 days of school and her pediatrician ran lots of tests before we figured out that it must be this medicine. Stay far away!

I had been taking Tri-previfem for almost a year now and I was randomly switched to Tri-estarylla due to changes at my Pharmacy. My initial reaction was frustration because I have heard of these horror stories before, but the pharmacist insisted I give it a try. I took the first two pills and I woke up early the next morning with my head in the toilet. I have never felt so sick, and just completely awful. Whatever your pharmacist tells you..DONT TAKE TRI-ESTARYLLA!!

I had previously taken Tri-Previfem for years and it kept my skein flawless. my pharmacy switched to tri-estarylla without notice. I'm about half way through the pack and I'm bloated , have headaches , nausea , and my face looks like a pepperoni pizza. they say it's the same thing. I sorely beg to differ. Planning on switching pharmacy this week to get back on Tri-previfem

I took this for just a month a my first time taking birth control before my prescription was switched to another. I actually had no negative side effects; if anything I had an emotionally great month though this could have been circumstantial; I didn't experience excessive inexplicable emotions or mood swings. No nausea, no weight gain. I believe it did make me bloated for a few days after taking it but this went away. After a month, my acne had somewhat began to clear and did feel more under control although I know a month is a little too soon to expect real acne control results. Overall I had a good experience with this because I did not experience any negative side effects.Read More Read Less

My pharmacy switched me from tri-previfem to tri-estarylla and it has been AWFUL. My acne is coming back, I am always moody, and my period is almost 2 weeks long. I hate this and I am going to be switching back as soon as possible.

I was given tri previfem and liked it for months. My prescription was changed without me noticing due to its continuing refills. I started it on Sunday and felt very sick by Wednesdat. Nausea, intense nasal congestion and drainage, mild fever, severe stomach cramps, bloating, and irritability. Symptoms came on very suddenly and subsided too quickly to be food poisoning, along with my regulated diet, I was able to rule out food poisoning as well. I read reviews and have decided to get changed back to my original prescription as quickly as possible. Read More Read Less

originally I was prescribed tri previfem and that worked great with no issues. Then back in April the pharmacy switched to tri estarylla, although it was only for one month before it switched back. That month was awful, my depression started to come back (but at the time I hadn't realized the pull was the cause). Then they switched again in July. This time around my depression got so bad that I started to become suicidal, plus I gained 10 lbs and my acne has gotten worse. After reading other reviews for this drug I realized that that's what was causing everything, and I plan on going back to my pharmacy to try to get back on tri previfem again, since I was given tri estarylla again this month and there's no way in hell I'm ever taking it again.Read More Read Less

I was also given Tri-Estarylla in lieu of Tri-Sprintec. The pharmacy said it was exactly the same and not to worry. After taking this for two weeks, I had to stop and transfer my prescription to another pharmacy that does carry Tri-Sprintec. Tri-Estarylla made me extremely tired, moody, achy, acne and overall did not feel like myself. I will not ever take this again.....

I too was told by the pharmacist that this is what is being substituted. I also agree with the other reviews. HORRIBLE MEDICATION! I have only been on it for 2 weeks and i instantly broke out, and im an emotional wreak, exhausted, and mood swings are intense. Im trying to go back to tri prevefem. Avoid it!

I was originally on Tri-Sprintec and was switched to this. I've taking this brand for 5 years and I have never had any problems with it. I had shorter lighter periods, non-painful periods, and I didn't get pregnant. I stayed exactly the same weight as when I went on the pill (125) and I have never had problems with acne before or after taking this pill. I think it works just great. I think the other women on here aren't giving their bodies enough time to adjust to the drug. When I did go on birth control for the first time I was very emotional but I think thats just normal until your body gets used to all the extra hormones.Read More Read Less

I originally was on a tri-sprintec, but was switched over to tri-estraylla. HORRIBLE. A few days after I started I had terrible mood swings, thundering migraines, nausea, and irregular cycles. I stopped taking tri-sprintec after the symptoms persisted over the course of two weeks. I would not recommend this medication to anyone. Tri-estarylla is a generic version of tri-sprintec, but there are alternative chemicals used to make the medication cheaper. The hormone dosages are the same, despite the minor but important changes.Read More Read Less

Yeah, it worked. Kept me from becoming pregnant so it did it's job but did not like the fact that only after 2 and a half months in I was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism. Spent 6 days in the hospital and have damage to my right lung. I would not recommend this pill to anyone. I'm also 23 and pretty sure I shouldn't have suffered this... I have no history of clotting disorders and I did smoke but it was an occasional cigarette on break at work.. Also yea I'm in the hospital as I type this. Not happy at all.Read More Read Less

Like others I got switched from Tri-Sprintec to this from the pharmacist, at first I thought my extreme moodiness, depression, giant zits were from stress. But once it continued I started to question my B.C. so I stopped taking it for 2 months and I felt awesome!! Then on fear of getting pregnant I decided to start taking it again, im 2 weeks in and are depressed, crying for no reason, and have giant zits on my face! NOT a good medication

I was originally on Tri-Sprintec for several years and the pharmacy switched me to this. After only taking it for a month and a half I noticed emotional changes, dizziness, headaches, and increased acne. I just did not feel like myself while I was on this medication.

I am going on my 2nd pack into the 2nd week. When I started I was not intending to use this for birth control but for control or regulation of my menstrual cycle. Even though I have been with my BF for 10 yrs, we do not have children and do not intend to. I started and I had spotting for a week then I had my regular menstrual bleeding for another week. So 2 weeks of what I hoping to stop. I also experienced nausea and cramping. Now on my 2nd pack I have been sick for about 3 days and also the spotting has started again. I have to force myself to eat and I get hot spells. I have not missed any doses. Since my BF and I have never finished intercourse (ejaculation inside me) prior to using this pill ever we decided to try it. Now we are scared I'm pregnant because I feel sick in the morning and I had thrown up when I drank alcohol. I HOPE I AM NOT PREGNANT. I do not like the symptoms I am having, nausea, cramping, spotting, depression and hot flashes.Read More Read Less

Never take this medication. It is not worth your time. It has been messing with my body for 3 months & I'm done. I've had 2 periods in one month. I was on Tri-Sprintec & was getting my Period every 25 day. Then Sam's Club switched me to Tri-Estarylla I have gotten my period after 17 days, then 19 the next month, & then after 20 days the 3 month. I had enough after that & depended to be put back on something close to Tri-Sprintec. I found out Tri-Previfem is the closes thing to it now.

Had very minimal acne before taking this pill. Slowly over the months it has just gotten increasingly worse. At first I thought it was stress but now weeks of no stress and still acne covering almost entire face. Big red pimples that can't be popped or treated with cream that dries out regular pimples. These pimples hurt to merely brush. So on top of the red acne filled face in just four months I have gained 7 lbs. I am also extremely emotional to the point where I annoy myself.

I have been on this birth control for 4 months now and my face has broken out severely.. coming from a person who has never had bad acne at all in my life, it has been shocking. Also noticed slight weight gain. Do not use this, not worth it. There are so many other options.

This made me feel like I was on prednisone again. Headaches, weight gain, bloating, nausea, breakouts, clammy and shaky and just all around uneasy. I instantly knew it was the mess but tried to stick it out for the 3 months but threw half of the third pack out. I couldn't take it anymore so I called and got back on tri sprintec. Don't settle for this crappy medication that I'm sure shortened my life span just by taking it for 2 1/2 months!
