I was started on the lowest dose of the Minivelle patch, 0.0375mg for treatment of hot flashes and difficulty sleeping. I started to feel benefits fairly quickly, within a week, and as time has gone on I've been feeling more benefits of using the estrogen patch. My mood is better, big plus! After three months on the patch I feel my depression is lifting and I am doing more in general instead of si...

I am in the same boat as others. I was switched to this the other day and had tremendous side effects immediately after starting it. I have been on Vivelle Dot .05 for 10 years and my doctor switched me saying she was encouraged by the drug company to start prescribing it plus it would be cheaper in cost since I have a high deductible. After three days of excessive hot flashes, night sweats, nausea, headaches and all over muscle pain I put a call into her to go back on Vivelle Dot. I don't know how they are identical when so many people are having issues but I for one am going back off of it. Just a heads up for anyone wanting to switch that I do have some side effects on Vivelle Dot like back pain and muscle aches but nothing like I experienced on the Miniville so do your research before agreeing to switch over.Read More Read Less

It helped with all my symptoms. However after about 8 months my hair started falling out . I would rather have my hair and deal with everything else.

Am I the only one out there that is hyper-sensitive to hormone replacement? This is the third time I have tried a "bio-identical" estrogen. Started with cream about 10 yrs ago, couldn't hack that. Couple years ago my Dr. put me on vaginal estradiol. Worked great in the sex dept. since menopause made sex so painful. After a while on that, had to stop due to shortness of breath, sleep issues, jitters. Plus my estrogen level sky-rocked to 900! Dr. just put me on Miniville 0.0375 one week ago. Today I am feeling the shortness of breath, jittery and fatique. Been using topical progesterone for years and had to back off of that. Have worsening osteopenia in hip and osteoporisis in lower spine. Brief stint with Prometrium helped the bone loss, but side effects were too much. Think part of the bone problem may stem from years of acid reflux med, Prevacid. I exercise, take calcium, D3, magnesium, K2, etc.... nothing seems to be helping the bone loss. Trying to get off Prevacid, tough go. Danged if I do and danged if I don't. Anyone???????Read More Read Less

This patch has messed my stomach up bad! A day after putting on I am nauseous and have diarrhea. I was thinking it could be ibs but after trying a few times with patch symptoms come back. I'm off these crazy hormones! Going natural.

I have used the minivelle and developed severe hot flashes and nausea. Ive taken it off for a bit then tried again, and each time I get these symptoms. Spend the night taking off covers then putting them back on only to wake up and have to remove them again.

I was on Vivelle Dot for over a year with no side effects. My doctor switched me to Minivelle and I experienced severe breast tenderness and headache. I took the patch off and went back to Vivelle Dot until I can talk to my doctor

After three months on the patch I feel my depression is lifting and I am doing more in general instead of sitting and being depressed and not being able to think clearly. Sex is better which is a big plus also. I have had less pain but only if I continue to eat right. I still can't eat wheat or sugar without suffering an increase in joint and muscle pain associated with fibromyalgia. But in general I am feeling better physically. My GYN does bio-identical hormone therapy which is what I wanted. He is working with Dr. Henry Hess in Rochester, NY who wrote a good book about menopause and bio-identical hormone therapy. I believe it’s available online. Some of the drug information on the Minivelle patch mentions the need to supplement with progestin. I would NOT use progestin as this synthetic drug is not the same as the progesterone that your body makes. I will be starting on a two week course of progesterone today. Overall I’m very pleased with the patch. Read More Read Less

My hot flashes are virtually gone. I now sleep through the night. These are easy to use. I cannot imagine going back to the hot flashes (that my old OB just ignored!) and night sweats. Thank you to my new OB who got me turned onto these!

I used Vivelle Dot for years and loved it. I had several refills left but my pharmacy called my doctor and said they no longer have it and to change my prescription to Minivelle. I've been using it a couple of weeks and the sticky residue around the edges causes it to stick to my clothes and it gets pulled off. Also I've had a terrible headache that I can't gat rid of, wake up sweating, and today, even though I've never had blood pressure problems, it was quite high when checked at the doctors office.Read More Read Less

I am very pleased with minivelle patch .05 along with progesterone pill. 3 years hot flashes severely disrupted my sleep. I sleep 6 to 7 hours now. Lowest dose had little affect but this dosage worked great. Yes it does leave sticky residue but I can put up with that.

I hate, hate, hate the black lettering and the size and feel of the patch. Why would they not make it clear so it is not noticeable? The Vivelle Dot was much better. I could hardly tell it was there. The Minivelle patch needs to be smoother and CLEAR!

Prior to using this medication, I was experiencing unbearable hot flashes. They were occurring at least every other hour. After a month on .05 mg patch, I started to have hot flashes on a regular basis once again and had my dose increased to .075 mg which has helped tremendously. Unfortunately, I have been experiencing continued breast tenderness but honestly, it's better than the hot flashes!

Hot flashes were so bad I slept for 1-2 hours per night. This went on for six months. Once I started Minivelle patches & progesterone the hot flashes disappeared and I got my life back. I now feel great!

I have been using this product for 4 weeks and the side effects are terrible. I use the 0.1 and 0.05 together. I have terrible joint and back pain, breast tenderness and have now developed an awful cough. I was on the Vivelle-Dot for years which worked great. It seems that Vivelle-Dot has changed their patches which is the reason I switched to the Minivelle. I will be speaking with my doctor about finding another alternative to these awful patches.

I was on Vivelle-dot .05 for three years and did not have a single problem. I switched to this in July based on doctor recommendation. I started feeling nauseated and thought at first I had something, but as I continued use I had joint pain, weird head pain (and I have low blood pressure), and breast tenderness. It started getting progressively worse and decided to start looking to see if others were having problems. I immediately discontinued use when I read others were having problems. I do not recommend this product.Read More Read Less
