I find that this has been effective at preventing kidney stones. I've been taking either Cytra-2 or Bicitra for 8 years. Both have been effective. I must admit that there are days when it is a chore to take this three times a day, but the consequences of kidney stones certainly keeps me motivated.

my daughter has been on this medication for 18 months and it has worked for her. her bi carbs are where they need to be. other than the taste it is a good medication. however it does make her throw up on a daily basis sometimes 4 times a day.

I have been switched to this product due to the lack of availability to Bicitra which I have taken for many years. This solution has caused very upset stomache! Switched to the pill form and ended up with constipation. Preference is for Bicitra which worked very well for me.

My doctor recommended mixing it with apple jelly. Amazing how just a little bit of jelly takes the harsh taste away.
