I have been on this for about a year and now am experienceing intense lower back pain (radiating from tailbone), sore legs,fatigue, nausea and no appetite. This does not go away. Thought it was a flu bug. Anybody else?

This medication has caused high uric acid in my urine, it has also caused red pin dots on my skin, and has increased my blood sugar level. I have also suffered with ocular problems since taking this medication!

I have been taking Hyzaar 50/12.5 mg for 8 years and it has lowered my BP. Only side effect has been daytime drowsiness, but I sleep well at night. Pharmacy just switched me to a generic form of this drug called Losartan to save cost. Should be the same, but time will tell.

I have been taking Hyzaar 100/25 for five days and it reduced my BP as low as 77/44, but increased my heart rate to as high as 109. has anyone had a similar reaction.

Hyzaar has done it for me, with no side effects. The HCT in the formula means urinating every 3 hours or so. But expensive and off many insurance drug lists.

I am experienceing hairloss and have wondered if this drug is a contributing factor. I also take glucophage and zetia. I did not have diabetes until after taking this drug. Could this have something to do with my diabetes and hair loss?

I have been taking this drug for a little over 6 weeks and although it seems to lower my blood pressure it raised my blood glucose! My doctor insists that it isn't from the meds but a few posts have indicated that it does! I am very confused now. I don't want to make more problems for myself when I can just switch to another med., I think the doctors get some sort of "brownie points" for giving certain drugs to the most patients!

I have been taking the lowest dose of Hyzaar for over 12 years and have had nothing but good results with it. Unfortunately, Medicare will not cover my taking it anymore so I have been switched to Benicar. I hope it works as well as Hyzaar for me.

This medication is horrible. it caused my father to go into anafalactic shock, 2x in the past 6 weeks, and he was hospitalized for it. Lucking there was someone around when this happened, because he could have died. If you take this medication, and you have ANY swelling, itchyness, or trouble breathing get off of it, it will NOT get any better. Seek medical attention as soon as any symptoms occur.

I was only able to take Hyzaar for a couple of days so I cannot comment on its effectiveness. Has severe back pains and vomiting after one day of taking this medication. Initially thought it was my body adjusting to the meds, but felt nauseous almost immediately after taking it. I called my doctor to see about getting something else and have not taken anymore.

Because this drug makes me produce more urine, my bladder is working overtime and I have to take another drug to calm my bladder. Both drugs of course do not have a generic available
