I am in the minority here apparently. I will say that this is the first type of antidepressant that I have been on. I had a very positive response to the drug within a few days. I have had only occasional diarrhea as a side effect ( that I can tell) and it seems to be directly related to if I take it on an empty stomach or not. As an RN who is on permanent disability, I became severely depressed because I love nursing and am unable to return to work. My MD was extremely concerned and gave me a sample to try. Have been treated for MDD for several decades. Viibryd since five days ago. The first day I felt I had my life back! I thought I must be imagining the improvement but after reading these reviews I know it is real. I hope and pray it lasts. Side effects are minimal: diahrea is the main one. only 1 week in, i have the bloating and frequent BR use, slightly dizzy, i feel like i have amnesia sometimes and forget what i was doing, but i am not crying at the drop of a dime! so thats good ...im going to stick this out for at least a month

After battling major depression & severe mood swings for years, Viibryd has been a miracle for me & my family. The nausea was severe for the 1st 10 days, but after that disappeared completely.
