I don't know what Doctors are telling their patients but this product is thick for a reason. My doctor prescribed this to my child and explained that it's thick because it needs to last longer on the cornea of the eye in order to penetrate it and cure it within 2 days. He told me BEFORE using it, to flick the bottle with my wrist so the liquid is near the tip, problem solved. Don't just use the sa...

Get a different anti biotic. There are plenty out there that work just as well. These drops are horrible. I've been using them for pink eye and they are incredibly hard to self administer. I have had several eye infections, burnt cornea etc and I know there are better drops available. Don't use these.

i just followed the instructions given by Novartis who manufactures the product. i pushed from the bottom and difficult to get product out and when i finally did, the drop does not release since it is so viscous. interesting since Alcon is on the box and a few years ago Novartis bought it. may be good product but annoyed on how to use it.

spoke to manufacturer Novartis. the way to get the drops out is to put finger on the bottom and push in so the drop comes out. had trouble and called them. it does not say this anywhere on the directions. the bottle is designed they told me not to squeeze it so drops come out. i told them to show this information. that is nuts not to say that clearly. i haven't tried it but will do it that way from now on.

Developed a non-corneal ulcer on my eye. Went to the Dr asap when I noticed inflammation and constant tearing. Was told to put these in every hour for the next two days including overnight if I can deal with the sleep disruption. Despite faithfully adhering to instructions, first two days saw no improvement in symptoms; searing burning pain with each administration to the point where I called think I might be reacting adversely and was told to tough it out. Returned to Dr 2 days later and was told to shift to every 2 hours for the next two days, then every 4. After 3rd day of repeated searing agony at $167 for a 0.3ml bottle, I returned to Dr and demanded something better and was told this is the best. Given the price, difficulty of administration and literally no relief of pain I sought a 2nd opinion and was given a 'script for Ofloxacin. Was told much the same, tough it out, use regularly, but its cost was $25 for a 10ml bottle, with a significantly easier administration than this. 2nd Dr did say Moxeza was treating the ulcer/infection as there was progress, but conceded that its cost and difficulty was detrimental. I envied those reviewers who enjoyed swift relief with Moxeza, it was not my experience. Advise you store the bottle upside down and flick the end with the cap on several times, then pre-squeeze to cause a drop to bead just before leaving bottle, will greatly ease delivery. Hope your experience is far better than mine.Read More Read Less

We have used this twice once for my teenage daughter and she had two rounds. These drops are extremely thick and very difficult to administer and they just do not go into the eye. Went to an opthamologist and got a far better and thin eye drop and it cleared right up. Now having the same issue with young grandson.

I am on day 4 of taking these drops, almost no improvement at all, going to see an Eye Dr today, see if I can get something else that will actually work, and these drops cost me $150!

Used to treat pink eye in both eyes. Took three days to see any improvement. Cleared up in six days. I agree with other reviewers that administration of the drops is extremely difficult.

I suffered from pink eye for a week. I was in so much pain from swelling and burning. After applying these drops my eyes were better within hours. My husband helped me administer the drops. I was so thankful for the relief that the price or difficulty of administration did not bother me.

Hard to administer, the hole is too small... But I can see why for the price. End of day 1 and eye feels better.

Difficult to administer; drops are thick and do not easily pour out of the teeny-tiny bottle. VERY EXPENSIVE...$110 for 3ML. Bottom line...they work. DX is blepharitis. Extreme swelling and pain before drops administered. Pain gone within 12 hours, swelling is down. It works and ones eyesight is priceless.

Effective for pinkeye, with significant improvement w/i 12 hrs, but unnecessarily difficult to self-administer, esp for a drug costing $125/ 3 ml. (Alcon sells its similar Vigamox in Canada for $30/ 5 ml.) The squeeze bottle is so difficult to get a single drop placed that I would consider a different antibiotic.

Very hard to squeeze drops out of the bottle, and price is too high for treating a minor eye infection

Don't just use the sample the samples are small and hard to get the medicine out. Also he told me to dose it by putting it in the corner of her eye and "pulling" it from one corner to the other then having her open her eye, extremely easy. The cost isn't bad, it was $25, I already paid $13 for my last drops, I got the coupon online from the moxeza website. This drop is much better than the others because of the thickness, it just takes a little finesse on how to use it, flick the bottle with your wrist, problem solved.Read More Read Less

The drops are expensive and hard to use....especially on baby but WORTH IT according to my doctor, since they work fast. Apparently many of the cheaper ones do not work.

I HATE these drops. I cannot believe a manufacturer would make drops that you CANNOT GET SQUEEZE OUT OF THE BOTTLE! It is nearly impossible to do it yourself. The plastic of the bottle is so hard that my husband has to give me these drops b/c he has stronger hands. As far as price - are you kidding me? $40?? As far as efficacy - well, I'm on day 3 or 4 and I wake up with still thickness feeling and mucus (or whatever the icky stuff is). I would never recommend this product. Matter of fact, tomorrow I will be making an appt. with my ophthalmologist (rather than going back to my family dr.) to see what is really happeniing with my eyes! don't wast your money on this product!!Read More Read Less

My 9yo was prescribed this for pink eye. The first thing I noticed was the price. More expensive than the last drops we had for pink eye. The second thing I noticed was using it- the liquid is thick and the bottle is difficult to squeeze. Getting one drop out, while aiming, holding open an eye and holding your child still is next to impossible. Will never get this brand again!

Dr. prescribed for my 18 month old. It's too thick and I could never get it into my daughters eyes. For 7 days I struggled with my daughter who obviously did not want drops put in her eyes and in the end it came back! No doubt cause I couldn't get the thick fluid into her eyes. Not good for little ones.
