I crushed my ankle a year ago and 2 surgeries (hardware in and then infection and hardware out) and infection treated with 6 weeks IV Antibiotics, I have struggled to live a normal life and find pain relief. I work full time as an Engineer and taking regular Dilaudid only gave me short periods of relief. I wouldn't drive within 5 or 6 hours of taking my Dilaudid and I took it two times a day. I wo...

Sometimes I feel it is not working at all. My Pain Dr has been prescribing it to replace dilatid, but I am not sure it is working as well as the Dilatid.

The only time I get relief from the pain in my back is when I take the Hydrocodone with it. But now I get super tired. My constipation is 10X worse also. Been taking it for four weeks with no help. I just makes me feel tired and lethargic and still in pain. My doctor said this was realy good and when I discussed this with him he just wanted me to keep taking it to get used to it. Not too keen on this stuff.

For the first week on Exalgo 12 mg I thought I had gotten my life back. I had no pain and the person I used to be before getting too much pain came back. It lasted for a precious 7 to 8 days and then stopped working completely. When I saw my doctor I was up for a random drug test and my doctor found no morphine in my system. Does anyone know how this can happen? I would give anything for this stuff to work for me.

This Med was not even as good as NUCUNTA which you knew it was working by the taste in your mouth. Lortab 10/500 was even better than this. I can't beleive they give this to cancer patients.

Did not help pain, urinary retention, urinated 8-10X per night, H.A., fainting feeling, strange dreams, took about 6 hours to work. It is a poor medication in my opinion. Even the new Oxys. (OP) worked better for me.

I have struggled with chronic pain in neck & shoulders. Rear ended twice and had a 3 level fusion in my neck. This medicine gave me very good pain relief without feeling "dopey". Been on quite a few others, this isn't cheap for me, but well worth it.
