I just started taking the Nucynta 2 days ago. It is great! After my surgery in May I had Percocet 7.5 and then Norco 7.5 and the Percocet did good but I wanted to sleep all the time and the Norco did not help at all! Norco made me really sick feeling and I got really pale and felt like I was going to pass out so my doctor told me to try this new drug that is stronger than the Norco but shouldn' ... I've been taking nucynta for about 1 mo w/ no pain relief. My dr increased my dosage to 150mg 4X per day, still with no relief.

I have found that nucynta has really helped with my pain. I have been taking it for about 2 weeks now. But I do have some weird side effects from it. Dizzy, excessive thirst, and feeling just off/in lala land. But this is the first drug I have tried in awhile that really does make a difference. Im hoping the side effects are just short term. Nucynta is the first described pain pill I have found in the last 10 years. It takes my acute pain level down to a 5 except for my hips (they remain at a 10). I'm frustrated because it does work for the rest of my body. However, it has caused me to sleep walk, horrible dreams and when I wake up (much later than I normally do) my hands are in tight fists and it is very painful to open my han ... Show Full Comment
