I have been on sevalla only 6 days. So far no relief from FM pain. I was on Cymbalta for 6 months stopped working after 3 months. Even though I felt immediately better on Cymbalta (like the very next day) it did not last. I started getting FM pain back, crying, and not able to sleep again. So dr put me on savella. The FM pain now can get to a 7 out of 10 I am crying most of the time (from pain) a ... Show Full Comment

I am into my second month of taking Savella. I have been on Lyrica, Celebrex, Cymbalta, and some other medications for diabetic nerve pain and Fibro. Nothing worked. Lyrica was making me gain huge weight, which I cannot do as I am already overweight, and Cymbalta was just horrific, I was so ill with it. This medication has given me my life back. Last fall I was so sick and in such pain I cold not ... Show Full Comment

Prescribed after 60mg of Cymbalta wasn't relieving the pain. Worked up to 100 mg a day of Savella and it was horrible. Sleepless, sweaty nights and no relief in pain. Couldn't be in crowds and messed with my emotions terribly. Would NEVER take it again!

In light of other medication I have taken for fibromyalgia, this one has been the most effective, both for the pain and my mental status (fog). I am happier and able to work a full day at a full time job. I sleep better too. I take 100mg AM and PM. I have taken this med for 2 years with no noticable side effects. My insurance doesn't pay, but I gladly pay out-of-pocket for a med that works ... Show Full Comment
