This is 99% better than Detrol, enablex, vesicare.for me. Each person will react to a drug differently.I've been on 4 mg toviaz for 90 days, worked great for about 6 hours, now moved up to 8, it works about 8-10 hours. Should you have constipation drink more water or juice. For someone who was afraid to sneeze.. this has been the best one so far. I'am 63, sure nice not to have to know where ever bath...

I haven't been sweating unless exposed to high humidity. That is not normal for me.

I have MS and have been dealing with OAB/urgency/frequency for many years. I was on Vesicare 10 but needed more control. I am now on Toviaz 8 mg. I can probably deal with a mouth like a desert/sticky tongue, but I am having pain/pressure when I begin to urinate and again at the end, almost like a severe UTI. It makes me dread to use the bathroom. also having bloating and constipation which I have never had in the past. This medication is also very pricey! my postive comment would be that I do not run to every bathroom in town now and do not have to get up several times at night. However I will be talking to my urologist about other options for me.Read More Read Less

HORRIBLE! Took only 1 dose, had severe stomach pain and vomiting! Back & stomach pain all weekend! This drug sucks, I'd rather have frequent urination!

Awful! I was on Vesicare 10mg and LOVED it! Medical company cancelled approval and moved me to Tovaiz. Tried the past month and have had nothing but cramping, bloating, constipation and horrible back pain - I already have lower back pain from surgery and seems to worsen muscle spasms. Doesn't help much on cutting down frequency. I took two in one day thinking 8mg would help with frequency and caused my heart to race, sweat, dry mouth and again didn't work w/ frequency. Would NEVER recommend this! Vesicare if you need a great sript!Read More Read Less

I have only taken this for 3 days but the past 2 nights have developed horrible heartburn, lasting for several hours. Has anyone had this? While the med seems to be working, the heartburn tonight has been excruciating, to the point I wondered if I was actually having a heart attack instead. I have been on oxybutynin XR for several years but it wasn't really helping. Think I will stop the Toviaz as the heartburn was worse tonight than last night, and can't imagine it being any more severe. Read More Read Less

I have been taking Toviaz for a week and a half. Works really good with the bladder problems. Don't get up in the night, only go to the bathroom 5 to 6 times in a day. But the sides effects are killing me! I'm having back and knee pain. Taking stairs is really painfull and walking is also painfull at times. Did someone had similar effects?

After using sample from my MD, with excellent results, got an RX. Took it to WALMART Pharmacy. Was told "Co-pay of $300 (!!!) for 3 mo supply. A CO-PAY!!! Not poor, but that is too rich for my blood. Back to OTC Stuff while I seek out something more reasonable.

First day I tried this medication I got so dry in the mouth like my tongue was pasted couldn't move it and had a panic attack. Also experienced stomach discomfort and some nausea. Didn't do anything to manage the horrible persistent urgency. Just dried me out. Worried about constipation as well. Seems as if the side effects make these type of drugs hard to tolerate. Going back to Mybetriq as it seems to be more tolerable.

I am an 82 yr old male. Toviaz has partially controlled leakage (80%)With doctor's advice I went from 8mg to 4mg to reduce side effects esp. dry mouth. Voiding (urinating) is very slow, at times difficult or not possible and somewhat painful in the penas. Usage 45 days. If OK with the doctor I will continue using.

Worked pretty well for the first month, 2nd month not so well--side effects are not so good--constipation, dry mouth; still some leakage and urgency, probably will not continue

It worked for my OAB for the past three years. There are occasions when I have leakage and urgency but not very often. I got use to the dryness and dealt with it by drinking water and using eye drops. The benefit of using Toviaz for OAB out weighs the side effects for me. I also tried Oxybutynin and became ineffective, Vesicare caused blurred vision.

I have been taking for several days and I have had severe abdominal pain. It feels like lots of pressure and pain before I have to pee. Almost like I am expecting a baby. I have had trouble remembering things and my contacts have bothered me from the dryness. I would not recommend this drug. I have taken oxybutin, vesicare, and to Votviaz. Vesicare is the best. Please don't waste your money on these other meds like I did.

Tovias worked great for about a year or so, then it totally lost its effectiveness. Too bad, especially since it had no noticeable side effects.

The eye twitching started almost immediately with the dry mouth and hoarse voice. But the worse reaction was the rash that has appeared on my scalp and neck. I also have lymph nodes that have swollen and are tender to the touch since taking this medicine. Trip to Urgentcare today, a steroid shot and two medicines, cannot tolerate this drug at all.

I had a TVT done last year that only helped for six months, then slowly went back to square one. My Dr. gave me a 14 day sample of Toviaz to try. The Toviaz helped immediately. I am fortunate, because I am getting the benefits but no side effects so far. I used to have to wear a maxipad daily, some times twice a day, to catch the leaks that I couldn't hold back to get to the bathroom. I'm dry all day now. PLEASE NOTE: Dr. told me that diet sodas have an ingredient in them that causes bladder spasms! I never knew that. I stopped diet sodas before starting the Toviaz, and the bladder control was improved. Started Toviaz, and what a difference! I can safely use a pantiliner without worry of not enough protection. It's dry all day!Read More Read Less
