While normal eye drops didn't help me, because the doctor said my problem was not so much the lack of tears as the lack of lubricant in the tears. I had been using Oasis Tears Plus, which did help when used every 3-4 hours, but they are expensive and hard to find. I saw a coupon for the Bausch & Lomb SootheXP and decided to try them. For me, this is great. I no longer get up in the morning with so...

A friend recommended Soothe XP which is much cheaper then Systane which I had always used. Got burning itching when using Soothe XP called the Optometrist who recommended to stop using them immediately and recommended that I go back to Systane. Soothe XP would highly state do not buy those eyedrops Soothe XP are not safe

I shake the bottle, I apply the drops, there is a slight sting, it is milky-cloudy for a minute, my vision clears but my eyes really don't feel better. BUT if I use a regular wet drops before and let it be for a minute and THEN apply Soothe XP so that XP's oil layer is over the wet layer, then I have some relief. But using it alone doesn't work for me. It's just like lotion is most effective if you apply it on moist skin. When this bottle is empty, I will not purchase again.

After using Oasis tears I too was looking for alternative that was less expensive a day easier to find. Never had any ill effects from those. These drops have caused me debilitating headaches, I would call them migranes. Didn't realize at first it was due to the eye drops but repeatedly I have found within a couple of hours of administering I suffer horrible migranes to the front of head-above my eyes. Won't use these ever again!

I've used for several years for dry eyes and it helped. I recently had cataract surgery and my doctor says they are excellent and suggested me to keep using as much as needed. Yes they can blur vision for a moment and are cloudy in color (suppose to be) but this is not a problem for me. I highly recommend.

These are the only eyedrops that are effective for me over several hours and the only ones I ever use now. All others I have tried last only a few minutes. Soothe XP contains oil as do natural tears. They are cloudy at first when applied but quickly clear. Any reviews that say anything different are misleading. This is a great product.

Was concerned about the "white" color of the drops; shook them well as directed, but they immediately put a film over my eyes which scared me a LOT....it lasted about 2 hours...then I experienced a post nasal drip of something...Called the company and demanded a refund. Also spoke with a medical person they transferred me to and explained my concerns. Will never buy again....

This is the only product that provides some relief from my extremely dry eyes. Nothing else even comes close. Other eye drops may moisten my eyes , but they do not provide relief from pain like Soothe XP does

I've been treating dry eye syndrome with the single use vials (due to preservatives irritation) of soothe xp for over a year now. It doesnt stop my eyes from running down my face, however, it literally "soothes" the discomfort. People who complained about the stinging may have tried the multi dose with preservatives. The vials do not stings, but yes they are cloudy and do cause cloudy vision for literally just a minute, as the dr. Stated they would. His thought process was that very temporary side effects are not a concern in the bugger picture. When i wake i can barely get my eyes open since they are so dry. I just use a few drops before i even get up out of bed and just wait a moment for them to do their work. Im able to open my eyes with ease afterward. I always keep a few vials in my purse, by my recliner, backpack, Nightstand. IMHO they wont cure dry eye. Just mske it a lot more comfortable. Target had the most incredible price but now it appears they did away with the single use vials and only kept the multi use bottle with the icky preservatices. The only other place I can find them is more than double targets price on Amazon. My dr has just started me on Restasis but said still use soothe xp for the daily discomfort. I'm sad that they're getting do hard to find. The smarter thing would have been to get rid of the one with preservatives and keep the xp single use.Read More Read Less

My eyes are blurry for about a minute after putting in the drops. They're supposed to add a super-thin lipid layer over the eye. It feels like I'm wearing an uncomfortable contact lens. Going back to Target for a refund. Worst eye drops I've ever used.

This is about the worst eye drops I have ever used I love the regular Soothe. The Soothe XP makes my eyes cloudy, burn and water for a hour after use. This drops is a safety problem.I will NOT waste my money on this stuff again!!!

I have used B&L Soothe/Preservative Free for the last two years due to my Dry Eye Syndrome and those drops were the best choice for me after trying other products that do not work as well, or that do not keep my eyes as moist for as long. Recently, though, I saw the box labeled 'NEW' for the XP/Preservative Free B&L. I put down my usual B&L, and bought these. From the first use, my eyes started stinging, and feeling itchy. As the day continued, there was a mild burning that replaced the initial stinging/itchiness and has not gone away for the two days that I have been using this 'NEW' product. And I cannot say whether or not the drops have actually helped relieve my dry-eye symptoms due to the fact that my eyes are continually 'off' due to the mild burning sensation. So...I don't know when to add more drops. With other products, my eyes usually let me know by becoming dry and sand-papery - that it is time for drops. This product also drains into the back of my throat which lasts for about 15 minutes after use, and has a metallic, bitter taste. This is something that I have not experienced with other drops by B&L. Trying this product has made me a bit fearful that it may be damaging my eyes instead of helping them. I am going to stop using after only two vials, and go back to my normal drops. This was a $15 mistake.Read More Read Less

Soothe XP is the first eye drop to give my eyes necessary moisture to wear my contacts all day without the need for additional drops. Excellent product!!

Cloudiness and burning in my eyes. Eyes kept tearing as I am sure they were trying to get rid of the drops. Not a good product.
