I felt the need to review after reading all of the negative reviews on here. I've been using Zenchent for many years (Ovcon 35 before that), and have had no problems. Average period of 4-5 days, little to no cramps, and no weight gain. I'm not sure why other people are having such issues, but it's been working great for me!

First of all, I am a very active person who enjoys exercise and having a healthy lifestyle. I wouldn't say I'm obsessed with eating healthy, but I do try to apply the 80-20% rule to my life (eating very well 80% of the time and splurging on little indulgences 20%). However, since I started taking this horrible birth control I noticed my mood changes and swelling on my hands and ankles. I drink a l...

After I removed my Mirena IUD, I used the ring for about two months but had weird discharge and irregular periods. This was strange because it was my second time on the ring and I had no issues before. Anyway, I then switched to the pill, ended up with the brand Zenchent since my pharmacy didn't carry the brand my Dr. recommended. I wasn't in love with having to take a pill daily, but I made it work. I became nervous about the possible side effects (my good friend actually had a stroke at 32 from taking birth control - yikes!) so I decided to stop taking Zenchent at the end of the pack. Since then I have been experiencing many of the side effects other women here have mentioned: frequent headaches, low sex drive, lethargy....I'm not a fan.Read More Read Less

I was on Zenchent for about a year, then switched to Wymza Fe bc Zenchent was out of stock one day and they told me Wymza was the same thing, but Wymza gave me constant headaches so I had to switch. I took a four month break from the pill then went back to Zenchent, and I've been fine ever since. I very rarely get pimples now that I'm back on it, I rarely get headaches, I've had super light periods, and (unfortunately) a significantly decreased sex drive. I think it may have also caused some minor weight gain but it's probably due to my lazy and unhealthy lifestyle rather than the pill! Overall, I love this birth control. Read More Read Less

I have taken Zenchent for 7 or so months. This is my first birth contol experience. For the forst few months my Period was a few days shorter and a little lighter, and i got a little bit of acne around my chin. I didn't have any side effects but nothing really positive either. But no babies!! Switching to ortho-cept next month because this pill is slowly becoming less effective for my cramps. It seems like every month they get a little worse.

I have endometriosis and have to use birth control to regulate my hormones otherwise I will have serious growth of the endo. My doctor instructed me to skip periods so I have it 3 times a year. I too have headaches here and there since starting this medication 4 months ago. I was on trinessa but I was having issues with spotting for 2 months straight. This medication has given me extreme mood swings, it's like I'm on an emotional roller coaster. Extreme ends of the spectrum, feeling happy one minute and loving life and the next I'm feeling alone and depressed. I'm switching as soon as possibleRead More Read Less

I just finished my first cycle of Zenchent FE and I've had a great experience! I was very nervous about using this medication because I have never taken BC before. However, I only had side effects for the first 5 of 6 days. Those side effects were minor cramps and nausea in the early morning. After that, I've had no issues at all! I also have a higher sex drive and increased appetite which are positives for me! I love it and I'm glad I've had such a great BC experience on my first try!

Ive been on this bc for about a year and ive experienced Heavy bleeding during cycle, bad cramps, bloating, breast tenderness horrible pms. I too have experienced frequent headaches. I didnt think it was from the bc but after reading other reviews i guess it may be to blame. Increased sex drive from it. Some acne during cycle. Off cycle nice clear skin. No weight gain.

I have been on Zenchent for about 3 years, after switching from Estostep. I have no complaints. It prevents acne, heavy periods, and regulates my period. No negative side effects thus far.

I have had no side effects with this birth control. I may have had some moodiness and breakthrough bleeding in the first few months but after two surgeries for endometriosis, this is my favorite BCP.

Before Zenchent I used to take Loestrin which worked fine as BC, but it didn't really help with my cysts. I took it for a year straight, and then my GYN switched me to Zenchent. After 1 year of taking Zenchent my period didn't come and guess what? I got pregnant. Never missed a pill, always took on time, so was pretty disappointed. However, Zenchent helped to completely get rid of my ovarian cyst.

Very satisfied customer here. No cramps and acne which is a miracle for me. I rarely have headaches but, I did notice a slight daily headache in the first month. Smooth sailing ever since.

the first couple of months on this pill my period was EXTREMELY heavy, but I think that's the case with a lot of birth controls because your body has to get used to it. My cramps were bearable some months, then other months they were really bad. I am switching to another pill because i get really bad migraines with this. Figured I'd give it at least 4 months to see if the headaches went away but they didn't. I NEVER got headaches or migraines before taking this so I know it's from the pill. I also gained weight but I'm not 100% sure if it's from the pill or not. On a positive note, this pill did NOT make me moody or anxious AT ALL! I was on 2 other pills before taking this one and they made me a nervous wreck, however this one did not! Very mixed feelings about this pill. Only switching because of the headaches though.Read More Read Less

While Zenchent has been 100% effective for me for the last 5 years, I have experienced frequent headaches a week before menstruation and light periods (which my doctor said was related more to body fat than birth control). I thought maybe it was just my hormones at first, but after trying more frequent exercise and dietary changes to help regulate hormones and still getting the headaches, I'm pretty sure it is related to the Zenchent. I think it's just too strong of a dosage for me. My doctor has recommended I switch to Azurette, will see how that goes.Read More Read Less

Also, I've been working out extra hard and just weighed myself today...I've gained 15lbs!! This is ridiculous... I'm getting off this pill right away. This stuff is horrible. I've been on it for about 6 months. I was nauseated the first few months. I finally got over being sick and now I am having side effects from too much estrogen: weight gain, extreme fatigue, dizziness, anxiety, allergies, mood swings. I feel like I'm going crazy. I was going to quit cold turkey but was told that I needed to wean myself off, so I am trying to do that. I will NEVER take this drug again.

I have been trying out different birth controls for the past 5 years... mostly with horrific results. This is the first and only pill that evened out my mood swings as well as reducing cramps and no spotting between periods. All was well until I began to notice things changing with my body (that had never happened with any previous pill). For starters, I have had a battle with a rash on half my face since I began this pill. I didn't make the connection that it was the result of the pill until many failed dermatologist trips and medicines. The side effect that bothered me most was the cellulite that appeared on the back of my legs. I have never had this before and consider myself in very good shape- I weigh 109 pounds and take yoga classes regularly. I was so horrified when I started noticing this, but after some research realized it could be the work of the pill. I also have had 0 sex drive since starting to take it. It's really unfortunate that Zenchent had all of these traumatic side effects, my mood has never been more stable. Back to the drawing board :(Read More Read Less

Horrible experience! Caused very bad acne (cysts!), inflammation and redness on my skin (face and arms). Nausea, bad headaches, problems with concentration, etc. I would never recommend that pill to anyone! If you have a choice - pick another birth control pill! You will do yourself a big favor!

Bad bad choice. I've been on birth control for 4 years, for 3 & a Half of them it was seasoniqe. I was switched to zenchent about 4 months ago and have gained 15 pounds without changing anything! My periods are completley random, longggg and heavy and when I say long I'm talking 2 weeks straight. Then maybe again in a week or so. WTF. Called the Gyno today and starting my new pack of seasoniqe Sunday!
