I was taking DiovanHCT 320mg with Amilodipine and my BP's were 160-185/100-115. I no longer take the Amilodipine. I take Coreg CR 80mg and my BP's are down in normal range and my heart rate is finely under 90 bpm.

Day to day my heart rate and Blood pressure readings are all over the chart even though my lifestyle is somewhat sedentary. I am 72. Doctor changed me from 50mg Toprol xl to Coreg cr 10mg because my pulse rate was typically high 40's. Quadruple bypass very successful in 2002. Retired in 2005. I take this in conjunction with Altace 20mg and lasix 40mg. I have trouble getting fluid levels out of my system and have CHF, weak and enlarged heart. I have had one heart attack.

I have carpels tunnel, while on this drug, I could not bend my hands, I could not pick up anything, very intense pain, I could barely lift my hands, I love the makers of the drug, I worked for them for 10 years, however this drug is not for me.

Extremely fatigued, dizzy and lightheaded. Was taking 10 mg once daily. Dr. swears by this medicine but it is not for me. Couldnt pay me to take again. Glad it works for some.

My boyfriend was taken off of bystolic and put on this for treatment of ED day 1 he couldnt breathe easily and had to use his inhaler 8times. and felt very lightheaded. he was put on 40mg one time a day. we quickly stopped that day and he called the doc.. doc discontinued it.

I have severe heart failure, an over large heart, no function in lower heart. Coreg CR has worked well in keeping my heart rate and bp at a liveable rate. Before my bp was excessive and now 90/60, where the doctor wants it. Heart rate is low, but that is where the doctor wants it as well. I also take LISINIPRIL with coreg cr. I would recommend this drug to severe heart failure patients even though the side effects of tiredness is there, I was much more tired before I started taking coreg cr.

Person with TREMORS---what was your Coreg-CR milligram that helped immediately with your tremors??? I, too, have tremors and I have just now started Coreg-CR 20-mg and it helped my tremors the first day, but not so much now. Maybe it should be increased. I don't seem to have any side-effects from the Coreg, right now, at least.

Along with the other Reviewer, I, too, was on Toprol-XL and I had so many side effects it would kill me. Switched to Coreg-CR 20-mg. Have only taken for 5-days now so hard to rate, but I think it might work out. None of the "Reviewers" state their "mg" usage, and that is important to know !

Coreg made me a diabetic. Stop the pill and the diabeties problems will go away in 4 to 6 months.
