This drug destroyed my life. Full body tendon/muscle damage; neuropathy in lower legs and back; severe fatigue; short term memory loss; neurological and central nervous system effects, including severe anxiety attacks. I could go on. It's been nearly three years since I was given this drug for a simple case of sinusitis - which could have been treated with any of dozens of safer antibiotics ... Show Full Comment

I have been used Levaquin 500 mg for a week for a supposed infected gland. The pills were huge and during that time I had nausea, stomach pain, insomnia and strange dreams and nightmares. Not only did I have those side effects but the infected gland got bigger and my arm pain worsened. I'm 17 and not even supposed to have this medication. I don't know why my doc prescribed it...

Was prescribed this antibiotic for chronic epididymitis. About halfway into my 20-day dose, I began experiencing extreme soreness and stiffness in my ankles to where I could barely stand up in the morning and walk down stairs.
