I have been taking Opana ER 40mg Tablets every 12 hours for chronic pain. I think that it is the best around the clock opioid pain medication out there. I have been on Oxycontin, MSContin, Methadone(for Pain), Dilaudid, and fentanyl, along with oxycodone 30mg IR tablets as needed four times a day. The Opana ER has worked way better and actually lasts very close to the 12 hours that it is suppos...

This drug was new to me several months ago. Once I got the theraputic level inside me, man, the sweats and chills were nearly intolerable. And extremely embarassing. If it happened out in public, you felt like crawling under a table or hiding in the restroom!!! After a lengthy battle with my PCP and my insurance for coverage, I am now on Oxycontin, 40mg, BID. Not working very good either, but these darn sweats and chills have ceased. I would NOT recommend this drug to others.

Opana takes care of the constant pain better than any other drug I have taken in over 10 yrs. Unfortunately, it also gives me a constant sick stomach feeling

There seems to be quite alot of positive reviews about this drug, however I cannot follow suit.it did not have a noticeable effect with the pain and caused alot of wheezing and very odd visual apparitions.I would not recommend its use.

I have two hibernated disc's and I am only 39yrs old, way to young for surgery.. L4-L4 & L5/S1. My pain level has been around a 7-8 over the last 6 months. I have gone through a full 6 weeks twice a week of Physical Therapy and I am currently on my second steroid injection. I just started the opana 40mgs ER twice a day and it works great! I can actually function and work all day at the office with out any massive pain like I had in the past.. Hard to find but my local Pharmacist orders them which usually only takes about 3-4 days to get them in at CVS. . Read More Read Less

Opana has helped better than other drugs, but I had to change insurance and couldn't afford to buy it. I would love to be back on it instead of the others that are not working as well.

I have been taking Opana ER 40mg Q12hr and Opana 10mg, 2 tabs QID for breakthru pain for about 4-5 years. It has been working well for me. My head, neck, shoulder, back, hip, buttock pain is the result of 27 auto accidents causing damage to tendons, ligaments, & muscles. I recently got back from Australia & the 17hr flight down & 12hr flight back has caused a major inc in my pain. My para-spinal muscles are in knots, spasms, etc. I use acupuncture, massage to help with pain mgmt. Also use Lidoderm patches-work really well. 3 patches on 12hr, off 12hr.Read More Read Less

This drug was working great for me, however I am now experiencing severe hot flashes and profuse sweating. I take estrogen so these symptoms should be in check in terms of menopause. I am trying to investigate if this is a side effect of OPANA ER 10mg BID.

I have been on many different opiate pain meds. for chronic back and leg pain. So far I have found this one to relieve the pain and last as long as it's supposed to. Without it my life style would be much less tolerable.
