I just didn't realize that it was the Macrobid making me sick, cuz it was like day 7 the first time I got sick. This time I was on my second pill when I realized it might be the Macrobid. Tests were run and I was told that it is possible that I am having an adverse reaction to the medication. I am still very weak with moderately high blood pressure. I have been nauseated off and on and my last capsule was 5 days ago. I was treated for a UTI two weeks ago w ... Show Full Comment

Unfortunately I had to have my colon & bladder removed but developed an e coli infection in what was left of my urinary tract. I used Macrobid 2x a day for 10 days & was retested. The infection persisted. Then I took it again 2x day for 10 days plus 1x day for a month. I am now being switched to Bactrim & hoping for better results. Have had massive hair loss on this medication!
