I am on this for a kidney infection.I"m having high blood pressure with tingling in my hands feet and left side of my neck. Pain in both knees.Still having pain in my kidneys also.

I have been on the medicine for 7 days and I have broken out in hives, I have the chills and feel slightly light headed. Although the nitrofurantoin made my uti feel better the side effects are not fun.

Three weeks after finishing the drug as required I had to go to emergancy. They found that the e-coli had gotten into my blood stream. I was in hospital four weeks then to a nursing home for three months.

After 2 doses of this medicine I had serious side effects which nearly caused me my life. Chest compression, short rapid breathing (could not catch breath). By the time ambulance got me to ER I was turning blue. Pills are now in the sewer system.

I started this medication in early pregnancy for a UTI. Not only did it not work, I ended up in the Emergency room after using it for only 3 days. It made me so sick, that I was vomiting blood. My nurse said that I may be allergic, but I have never had any issues with other drugs.

I have been on Macrobid for about one week now and I feel a lot better. Except.... It seems I get hit with major headaches or severe nausea just not every time i take it.

Three days later I started the burning and urgency to urinate but couldn't empty bladder. I have severe headache, muscle ache, fever (101), chills, dizziness, weak, loss of appetite, and nausea.

works very well for me but loss of apetite is persistent making eating very difficult

I have been on the medication for less than 24 hours and already have relief of the symptoms with no side effects, and I ahve other serious long term health issues that are usually irritated by medications so I am very pleased with the medication thus far.

This is the first time I've been rx'd this for a uti, other meds have worked much better and faster. I have been on this for 4 days and have had no releif of symptoms. I'll be calling my MD on Monday to ask for a different med.

i had very cloudy urine and a couple hours after taking my first dose, my urine started clearing up and i felt a bit better. its been 24 hours now and i don't have such a hard time urinating. its working well. the one downside, is that i have to make constant trips to the restroom due to diarrhea.

Taking this drug for a UTI, have never had such a reaction to an antibiotic before. Dizzy, nausiated, rapid heart rate, tingling over my entire body, hot flashes. I will take my last dose tomorrow and will definitely tell the doc that i won't ever take this again. It did however, clear up the UTI.

While taking this medication I have had headaches, shortness of breath, coughing, diarrea, severe muscle aches and blisters in my mouth. I will discuss this with my Dr. and never try this treatment again.

I had no side effects really with the exception of one day where I had a bad headache and nause which lasted no more than a few hours.

While this medication worked, and quickly, it has been a miserable experience. I have been dizzy, nauseated and off balance. I think there is a standard dose and I am highly sensitive to meds. Probably I am taking the dosage for a 250 lb male, but I am done today... and well.

I was given this medication for a uti, reason unknown. I became extremely ill. Side effects included: extreme chills, pain in the bones, dizziness, nausea.

I am having fast heartbeat. It is racing and also shortness of breath and some dizziness. I am also on Amoxicillin at same time for sinus infection. I will call Dr tomorrow and possibly stop this medicine.

I have not had a UTI in many years. I do remember a drug that is no longer on the market that began working immediately. So far this drug isn't working at all. It hasn't given me any side effects, just hasn't relieved any of the symptoms of the typical UTI.
