I started taking this medicine just a few day ago for a persistent cough after having pneumonia. The cough was so bad that I couldn't get a good night rest. After going to my doctor he prescribed these little babies and I have been sleeping comfortably for the last 3 nights. The effectiveness for me was immediate.

I took these cough pills 2 yrs. ago and must of work cause I couldn't recall when she (Dr.) mention them again. Been taking them for my asthma and coughing. They work for me. Like the ease of taking, with no side effects. Been able to sleep while taking them, of course the coughing wears a person down. 47 YO Male 230 lbs with acute Bronchitis. Took these as prescribed for the first 2 doses with NO effect (I actually took another before reading 2 will have no more effect other than making the side effects worse). I was coughing so hard I was gagging. I will continue to see if they work better tomorrow.

I was prescribed this medication for a cold/cough. 1 perl 3x per day for 10 days. Experienced drowsiness as a side effect from taking this. Insomuch that I felt I could not drive. Taking before bedtime seemed to have little or no effect on my coughing condition.

Comment:
My doctor prescribed this medication for a very bad congestive cough. I tried two doses and could see no difference, but maybe I was predisposed to reject as I believe in the case of wheezing and severe production of mucus, one needs to expel that mucus.
